For instance, most would say that killing in self-defense is justifiable.
…but does this mean that ALL killing should be legalized?
Self-defense killing accounts for less than 5% of all killing in America.

Many would say that abortion in the case of incest, rape, or medical emergency is justifiable.
…but does this mean that ALL abortion should be legal?
Abortion after incest, rape, or medical emergency accounts for less than 5% of all abortions in America.

Should ALL killing be legalized then?

-
3700 abortions are performed every DAY in the U.S.
That is over 1.3 million every year.
95% of these are done purely as a means of birth control
Less than 5% are due to rape, incest, fetal abnormalities, or maternal health problems

That means 3500 abortions are done every DAY in the U.S. that the MAJORITY of Americans think should be illegal.

These are appalling FACTS.

In good times, few people are faithful to God and turn to him.

In bad times, almost everyone turns to God.

How?

He says that if you trust to much in your own power of reason, you are putting yourself before God. So intellectuals are inherently unchristian.

What do you think?

Throughout the bible it told of the miracles that Jesus performed. But were they really miracles? The bible mentions witchcraft in several places. Why? Was it really miracles that Jesus was performing or was it magic aka Witchcraft? Was Jesus a Witch? A Wizard? A practitioner of the Magickal Arts? Did they sugar coat what he did with the term miracles? So not to scare the people?

Thanks for answering all my other questions. I was healed miracleously in January by Jesus. My JW friend said that they believe that healing is of satan. Also, Jesus told his disciples that they had the authority to heal and cast out demons. What do you say? God Bless You all that answer and have a great day!

if someone yelled "BOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" during a church service, and threw rotten fruit at the religious figure leading the service?

Today is our semiannual general conference. It is where church leaders and auxillary leaders speak before the entire church on a variety of subjects. Prophets and apostles of God, straight from their own mouths, give talks on what we believe. If you ever really wanted to know what mormons believe this is a very good way to find out.
I am not trying to push my religion on anyone, I just thought that if there was anyone out there that really wanted to know what we believed and what the prophets and apostles say to us mormons, today is a good opportunity to find out.
Many cable channels carry it or you can watch it online at lds.org.

No better way to know what a person believes then to hear it from their own leaders mouths.

Muslims, Jews and Scientists from Europe created a cosmopolitan society of peace and mutual co-existance in the Islamic Spain (Andalus).

Islamic scholars of Religon (Mullahs,Imams,Ulama) were also scientists since the Quran encouraged the Muslims to look into science to see the power of God.

Muslim and Jewish scholars along with some Heretic Christians or "enlightened" scientists created a "JEWEL" in Europe.

Science, Mathematics,Astronomy, Philosphy etc. were discussed and studied with all three faiths living in harmony and peaceful coexistance.

This islamic attitude to science, mathematics and learning was so foreign in Europe that it was considered heresy and blasphemy.

This got the Christians so UPSET they hunted down all the Muslims/Heritics and converted them by force or killed them.

The Church was so fanatically against free thought and scientific research that they blamed the Renaissance on Islam.

In revenge for undermining the awesome power of the Church (and planting a seed for Europe to emerge out of the Dark Ages) ,the Pope killed or baptised by force all the Muslims (and Jews) in Spain.

Then the Church along with loyal Kings started the Crusades to make sure Islam would not reach any further into Europe with their "heretical views".

The Islamic view of One God, no original sin, and the belief that there should be NO Religious hierarchy and NO organized church was a total slap in the face of Christiandom.

-----------

“The Renaissance of Europe did not take place in the 15th century. Rather it began when Europe learned from the culture of the Arabs. The cradle of European awakening is not Italy. It is the Muslim Spain.” (Robert Briffault, The Making Of Mankind)

“The Christian World came to wage crusades against Muslims but eventually knelt before them to gain knowledge. They were spellbound to see that Muslims were owners of a culture that was far superior to their own. The Dark Ages of Europe were illuminated by nothing but the beacon of Muslim Civilization.” (F.J.C Hearushaw, The Science of History.)

“The greatest crimes, the greatest “sin” of Mohammed in the eyes of Christian West is that he did not allow himself to be slaughtered, to be “crucified” by his enemies. He only defended himself, his family and his followers; and finally vanquished his enemies. Mohammed’s success is the Christians’ gall of disappointment… He did not believe in any vicarious sacrifices for the sins of others.” (Edward Gibbon, Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.)

How many Christ is it?

2007-10-07 07:30:28 · 11 answers · asked by Anonymous

The reason I ask is, some here on R&S say teaching little kids about the devil (Bogeyman) and god sending them to a burning world of fire, alone, for the rest of their existence is child abuse. I agree that it is, in the extreme, but Christianity isn't the only guilty religion.

My uncle sent me this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ2CAFCQGS0

It shocked me senseless to see the little Muslim children in the video! Not one or two youngsters, but hundreds and maybe thousands of little children are being heinously abused by the Islamic religion to recruit "kamakazi kids!"

I'm NOT being a bigot here! This is actually news footage and still photographs! Isn't this child abuse? Is this just teaching kids religious values?

Your opinions, please.

The world seems to be losing all it morals and common senses.
If there is a God this can be seen as a good thing considering we get to go home soon. But if their isn't a God we're doomed as a human race unless something extreme happens in this world to cause them to care again.
