I'm sure you tell your kids that Christmas is evil, but eventually they're going to see the joy on other kids faces, and all the toys that other kids get, and perhaps they will even see glimpses of beautiful (mainstream) Christian candlelight services that will have them wondering.

And their own Christmas is filled with -- nothing. If they go to a public school, I'm wondering if this becomes an upsetting time for them.

Why is not mentioned that Joseph Smith had at least 33 wives? And that the youngest was 14, And that he explained to her that god had commanded she marry him or face eternal damnation ? And if you believe everything else he preached, why dont you practice polygamy ? The Prophet described plural marraige as part of " The most holy and important doctrine ever revealed to man on earth " . And taught that a man had to have at least 3 wives to attain the " fullness of exaltation " in the after life. He warned that God had explicitly commanded that " All those who have this law revealed unto them must obey the same.... and if ye abide not that covenant, then are ye damned; for no one can reject this covenant and be permitted to enter into my glory. "

How can you actually say that you have faith in something, when you pick and choose what it is about the religion that is acceptable to believe in ?

i certainly don't. i find it fascinating and mildly amusing that some people believe in an invisible being.

i'm sure that the FSM and IPU will become major religions in the next few hundred years and people will worship them just as though they are real.

As a christian...doesnt that mean to be a follower of christ? Well then why do most so-called christian celebrate holidays? the bible never indicated that christ nor his disciples nor his mother celebrated any holiday. And why dont some so-called christian go preaching door to door? The bible talks about Christ going door to door to preach the good news. i already know the answer so feel free to email me if you have any questions.

I just added "A.D." to my collection of Christian movies. I highly recommend it. Have you seen it?
I was struck how, at the end, the Romans were accusing the Christians of all sorts of lies to justify feeding them to the lions. It reminded me of Yahoo Answers. Nothing has changed in 2000 years. Godless, evil people still insult and persecute (verbally now) Christians, just like they did under that anti-Christ Nero. It was a good reminder of the world that we live in, in which they lie becomes the truth, and the truth becomes the lie..
If you have seen this movie, I'd like to hear your comments.
(LINK: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088471/ )
(I also recommend these other DVDs I bought: "Jesus of Nazareth", "Barabbas", "The Robe", "Demetrious and the Gladiators", "The Agony and the Ecstasy", "A Man For All Seasons", "The Song of Bernadette"

No really, they are freaking hilarious! For example "People who don't like thier beliefs laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs" and "The rapture? I'm not worried. Santa will save me."
I'm a theist (pagan) but seriously they so trip me out. Should I feel like a traitor?

I mean... Really...
I know it's symbolic and everything, but I just think that I'd rather not be symbolic anymore...

It's just so much bother, and personally, I like regular underwear.

Can I just NOT wear my Mormon underwear anymore without any consequences? Won't God understand?

I'm still a faithful Mormon and committed and all that stuff.!?!?

I like the old testament God because he doesn't take any crap off of people like Jesus did.

It's his way or the highway, the highway to hell that is.
