No. A person with a low IQ can win the lottery or claim an inheritance. People with high intelligence sometimes give up high-paying stressful jobs for a peaceful life with a lower income. Or, they may enter a job field that is personally enriching, but has a lower income potential.

So no, I don't think so.

I know that people with higher education averagely have higher incomes. I am not sure about intelligence.

You can postulate that people with an higher education status have a higher I.Q., but until you find someone who has done a study on it, you cannot say for sure.

Try and find out if college graduate have higher intelligence than their high school graduate counterparts.

Now what I do know is that criminals on average have lower I.Q.s. The I.Q. being about 85. Criminals come in and out of jail or prison and rehab centers. They are far less productive than law abiding citizens.

You can take that anyway you want.

Absolutely not!

In fact some of the richest people I know are also among the thickest. And as for common sense, In my experience the richer you are the more stupid you become.

So I guess my answer is that the opposite is true and that intelligence is inversely proportionate to one's economic status.

No. I do believe though that some of the smartest people I have ever met were from the middle class. Not rich and not poor. I think that way you get a mixture of academics and street smarts in a healthy balance without too much of either's influence.

Not always, but it would seem that way since only those who can afford it continue on in education.
A lot of people do not continue past a high school education simply because they can not afford it.
