I saw a lady at church and when they were singing And He Walks With Me And He Talks And He Tells Me I Am His Own, and she was gazing at a portrait of Jesus that hung behind the pastor's lecturn, and she was practically swooning; and the thing that really amused me was that the male singers in the congregation were booming it out just as fervently as the female singers.

The whole spectacle was very sweet. Somehow, however, I myself fail to see the attraction.

As for Jesus, would he be flattered -- he would be disgusted.

I think you mean to direct this question to women? Men are going to be offended, I think. But no. I never did. Not in that sense, but surprisingly, I feel that way when I think about St Michael. No idea why. Must have been that icon I saw once, and that description of him when he appeared in Fatima Portugal.

Jesus is more different. He's very quiet when He is with me, and when I ask Him questions, I sense this humour that is brotherly.

Since Jesus was also God, they would not have been able to keep it a secret. Since his reaction when they called him Rabbi or Father was negative, I think his reaction to romantic love would have been similar. Besides, according to most Christians, wouldn't he have been anti-gay anyway? Or did you only mean his female followers?
