Question : Any Christians EVER googled the phrase ..... JESUS BOILING IN HOT EXCREMENT- to see which holy book says it ?

BEST Answer : That comes from the Talmud. This is rabbinical speculation on the punishment Jesus will receive according to his acts of leading Jews away from the Torah, and being a false prophet.
This is what Jesus did, and was.

Call for Zionists to stop calling Jesus a bastard ?

A senior American cardinal has asked Jews to reconsider descriptions of Jesus as a "bastard" in exchange for a softening of traditional Catholic prayers calling for Jews to be converted to Christianity.

What difference is there between the beliefs of the Christian Right, the Israel lobby, and the gang of terrorists run by Osama bin Laden. They all basically have the same beliefs. That is, they all believe in waging a "holy" war, whether it be a Crusade or a Jihad.

I recognize that genuine Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all teach to treat other people with respect and do not support these crazy beliefs. However, why is it that we have people promoting war under the guise of religion?

What difference is there between the Christian Right and their promotion of a Crusade against Muslims and the supporters of Osama bin Laden who promotes a Jihad against Jews and Christians? Why do people use religion as a cover for their own hateful beliefs so frequently? Why don't more people realize that Jesus is the Prince of Peace and that true Islam promotes tolerance for other religions? Why do so many people engage in hate-mongering?

It`s funny that paganism is defined as religious faiths outside of Christianity, Judasim, and Islam. When pagan religions gave birth to Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Everything from the birth, death, resurrection of Jesus Christ can be found in pagan mythology. Your an intelligent rational person, cant you see how delusional religion is? Click on the link below.

You convert a believer into an atheist?
I'm an atheist and one of my best friends was a very religious woman and we always talked about religion and our beliefs together and no she too is an atheist.I'm happy for her if she is happy, which she is but she now goes around anouncing to everyone she is atheist and they treat her badly. Her own family has disowned her and as such I do feel slightly guilty, even though I never tried to get her to believe what I do we just discussed things and she made up her own mind in this discision.Just wondering if anyone else ever does?

That is applied to the Bible is applied to all ancient texts then could they not all be considered fiction since in many instances those texts are the only record of those events?

It is well-know the Egyptians exaggerated in their ancient texts and even did not mention several events because they reflected very negatively on them...(i.e. they lost a war).

The Roman writers exaggerated about the things concerning Rome and it's emperors...

It is that way for many ancient writers, so how reliable are they?

Can we trust what the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and other wrote?

Is much of what we consider ancient history actually fiction?

I'm just wondering if this is unusual. I come from a Mormon background and know that my religion is true. That said, my Church teaches there is truth in all religions, so as a hobby I study other religions. I think they all have really great things in them and could imagine a really fulfilling life as an Orthodox Jew, a Charismatic Christian (I like the way they emphasize faith) or a Scientologist (if I could afford it, but I like the way they have a lot of practical ideas for living a better life, I of course don't buy the stuff about the aliens). I've studied those religions and think they're very worthwhile. All those religions seem to have really good positive points to them. If I could live more than once, I'd like to experience other religions as a member of them. Does anyone else wish they could experience other religions more?

I'm not asking if there's evidence of a god. I'm asking if there's evidence (actual evidence) that the bible is the word of god.

Because if there isn't, how could you possibly believe that the bible was divinely written? I'm sure it has great spiritual lessons and stories that promote good moral values, but it also says that anyone who doesn't believe Jesus is the son of god is going to burn in eternal hellfire.

How can you make major life decisions and judgments of people based on a book that is quite possibly (and most likely) just the word of some guy that was really spiritual (Jesus) and some other ordinary guys. Seriously. I really want an answer to these questions.

Is there ANY hard evidence that the bible is actually the word of god? If you can prove it to me, I'll convert.
