God never said anything only man so why do people say its God's word?

im 21 years old and just discovering on my own (no particular religion) what god really is. My question has to do with wondering if god is actually dying in our american culture and if so do you think that its because many religions have given a false representation of what god is? If you answer this question please go into detail whether your a believer or not as to what you think god is or isnt. I think that God needs to stay alive in order for our country to forge its path forward and even just discussing god in a civil manner helps in keeping him alive.....Go

The moon is in the exact place it should be for life to exist on earth. The Sun is the exact place it should be for life to exist. The earth is tilted at just the right angle. The earth is racing along in space at an incredible pace and we don't fly off. The force of gravity is set at just the right amount so we neither float away or find it too difficult to get up ETC

Really - it is hard to argue that there is not a design going on here. And if there is a design there must be a creator.

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and one of the things that people often say against our church is that we believe that Jesus and Satan are brothers. Well, that's one way of phrasing it, because we do believe that we are spirit children of God, and that Lucifer is also a child of God who fell and became the devil. I suppose the reason people react so strongly to this doctrine is that by phrasing it as we believe they are brothers somehow makes it seem that we perhaps think that Jesus and Satan are somehow on the same level? They are brothers, but in the same way that all people are brothers and sisters.

Anyway, when I hear this protest it makes me wonder. I don't think I have learned what any other church believes about where Satan comes from, and I'm wondering if they do have any teachings about that.

I'd love to find out what your denomination teaches about where Satan came from, or if there are any teachings, and which denomination you are from.

And prayed, asking for God to show me the truth on spirits and demons and who they are, and what to do about them. that night I had a dream that I was in this room full of Demons, scared to death and the fear getting worse by the moment, I was praying and telling the demons to get behind me, i am a child of the Lord etc, the more I payed the worse it got, then all of a sudden its like somebody took over and changed my prayer to " God please bless these lost souls, help them find some peace" and all of a sudden my fear was gone and I felt this huge weight lifted off of me.

What do you feel this dream was saying as a Christian, then I will tell you what it felt like it was telling me later.

Christians are always being criticized by atheists like me for their short-sightedness and intrasingency when confronted with very convencing arguments.

All the research I have done in the Bible says Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mothers milk. Deut. 14:21 Seethe=boil kid=goat I looked up the literal meaning to these words so I know they are correct. I have been told by a Jewish person this is why they do not eat meat with cheese. I do not understand where they get that from. They will not eat a cheeseburger or eat any kind of meat prepared next to cheese. Please help me better understand why they may belive this. Do they believe this because of a different verse or are they changing the meaning of of this verse???

So..my boyfriend told me that doing sinful things such as you know touching me, lets just say my breast one night....it will then stick with him for the rest of the week and think of unpure thoughts. Maybe not all the time, but it will be on his mind. Knowing it s not as hard for girls to struggl with thoughts of sex and unpure things...men always do. Knowing that before he was a Christian he was into pornography and not anymore..but obviously those images are still in his memory and he doesn't want them to be. But i wanted to ask, so when you aer finally married to someone...and they do touch your breast and have sex ..as it should be in a mairrage...won't men still have the same unpure thoughts when they go to work the next day. Won't other images of sex still be in their minds? Or is that not impure anymore because he has done it in marraige and not with someone else. Won't they still look at another woman and think of other things?
