It's easy to put words into the mouth of someone who isn't going to show up and refute you.

I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires. ~ Susan B. Anthony

But God did say something. First He spoke to Moses, who wrote down everything He said, which is called the Law, or the Torah, in Jewish writings. He spoke to His prophets- Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Micah, Nahum, Habbukuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, Malachi, Samuel, John the Baptist, Elisha and Elijah, to name a few!
Each one of these wrote down the words God spoke to them, or someone wrote down what they said. The way we know that they were really hearing from God is that their prophecies actually came true. We really can't say that about people like Nostradamus or Jeanne Dixon, a 'modern' prophet. People will argue that some of their prophecies came to pass- but the test of a TRUE prophet was that ALL of their prophecies had to come true- or they were considered a false prophet.

Those who have studied the Bible and history will tell you that most of the prophecies in the Old Testament have been fulfilled, especially those that predicted the coming of the Messiah. This is the way we know that these men truly heard from God.

Jesus Himself proclaimed to be God's Son, and so every word He said that we have written down, is actually God speaking to us. That's why we can call it God's word- because they are words that transcend time, that have lasted over 2000 years, and have been the basis for law and government across the European and American continent. This would explain why both Europe and America have had so much progress over the centuries, in comparison to Asia and Africa, which did not have the scriptures until much later.

God is in every one. When a person gets Supreme Knowledge, (Answers of all questions) then he can not believe that he reached at this level, so believes that these are God's words.
You may also become prophet by searching answers of your questions from your self.

Actually, in the Bible itself, God spoke so many times to so many people. One of the best examples is Moses, who would go in the tabernacle and God would meet with him face to face and talk to him "as a friend." Moses wrote 5 books of the bible, and he heard directly from God. Many of the prophets also heard God's voice on a regular basis, as did the writers of the New Testament. Some of the books of the bible, such as the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are written accounts of the things Jesus did and said while on the earth. Since Jesus is God, that makes those books also God's Word.

the Bible “is inspired of God.” (2 Timothy 3:16) In what way? The Bible itself answers: “Men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit.” (2 Peter 1:21) To illustrate: A businessman might have a secretary write a letter. That letter contains the businessman’s thoughts and instructions. Hence, it is really his letter, not the secretary’s. In a similar way, the Bible contains God’s message, not that of the men who wrote it down. Thus, the entire Bible truthfully is “the word of God.”—1 Thessalonians 2:13.

Genesis 1: 3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
7And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

8And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

9And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

10And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

Looks like God said plenty just in the few verses from Chapter one of Genesis. Shall I provide more? it could take pages and pages to post all what God has said. Better yet just read the bible it shows almost everything God spoke

God said SEVERAL THINGS...

Exodus 20:18 The people saw the thunder and lightning. They heard the trumpet. They saw the mountain covered with smoke. They trembled with fear and stayed a long way off.
19 They said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself. Then we’ll listen. But don’t let God speak to us. If he does, we’ll die.” (NIrV)

Luke 3:21 When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened. 22 The Holy Spirit came down on him in the form of a dove. A voice came from heaven. It said, “You are my Son, and I love you. I am very pleased with you.” (NIrV)

Luke 9:34 While Jesus was speaking, a cloud appeared. It surrounded them. The disciples were afraid as they entered the cloud. 35 A voice came from the cloud. It said, “This is my Son, and I have chosen him. Listen to him.” 36 When the voice had spoken, they found that Jesus was alone.
The disciples kept quiet about this. They didn’t tell anyone at that time what they had seen. (NIrV)

God is exalted and so great that man have no power to bear his grace. So he speak behind curtain or send his angel to selected and pious prophets.

We are so weak that we do not obey his commands and find clues to avoid, despite being very weak.

I work for a company were every so often we receive letters from the owner. These letters are written and delivered by the owner's administrative personnel. Even though they did physically write these letters, the words on them are exactly the owner's will.
