im 21 years old and just discovering on my own (no particular religion) what god really is. My question has to do with wondering if god is actually dying in our american culture and if so do you think that its because many religions have given a false representation of what god is? If you answer this question please go into detail whether your a believer or not as to what you think god is or isnt. I think that God needs to stay alive in order for our country to forge its path forward and even just discussing god in a civil manner helps in keeping him alive.....Go

II have a way different way of looking at THE GOD THING.

I call it that because it lost the real meaning a long time ago. I learned over the years that there is no god only faith. If you put the bible idea into your faith it takes on one meaning and if you put any other you have to do a bunch of rituals to conform to their idea of god. In the beginning religion was only invented to explain the unexplainable and then it became faith because of the emotion it brought out in people. That is where I came up with the god thing. There are so many that try to push their belief system on us that it is only a thing and on substance.

God is what we ourselves want to believe if you want too, or go with nothing religions so be it if not so be that and if you say there is no god it OK too. We need less of this thing being pushed on us and the big one these days are Moslems trying to push there way across the world. And even they can't get right because they have several sections, one is against the other.

So what is god? God is yourself believing in what ever you want and the hell with anyone else and what they believe. If I go to your house I will respect your belief if you come to my house and I have none then you must respect that not tell me I have to say grace. Not in my house keep your junk in your truck. This is the land of the free but they won't let me believe freely if I chose not too

My God is alive...for now. I am a follower of American Indian spirituality and I view every living thing as an extension of God- the Earth. This view of the intertwined relationship of all life is very beneficial in developing respect and consideration for everything that gives me life.

Unfortunately, current trends are also killing everything that gives me life. So, until others learn respect, my God is slowly dying.

First of all, God is not dead or dying! America is walking away from him. He will always be there, weather some of us admit it or not. It's like getting a job, the boss didn't become the boss just cause you got a job there, he was the boss before you came in and applied for the position. He will still be there when you quit or get fired.

Hey brother,
God is not dead, People are ignoring Him. People now are Rich. They have money and that is now their "god". With Money comes status and hence pride, so then god is not needed.
I am a Born Again Christian. I believe God sent his only son to Earth, to die for our sins and rose again on the third day.
God Is real bro. Please dont miss eternity in Heaven by believing those lies out there. Please. God is The Almighty.
He is the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He created you. He lives for ever.
Also, if you have a Bible, you can see for yourself - 1 Timothy 4:10
God Loves you bro. He can take care of you. Ask God truly, to come to you and talk to you. And He will.
I asked Him myself once and he answered me.
He will never let you down bro.
Hope i have answered your question
GOD Bless :)

yep. god is dead. and why? cause one, science is proving so many old religious theories wrong, and two, now that our country is so multi-cultural, people are learning of different religions and beliefs. who's to say who is right and who is not? there is no way to know for sure. you believe what you are taught to, it's simply a matter of brainwashing.
one religion says this, the other says that. well, if there was a god, he would only see it one way, correct? in other words, one religion is wrong. what im trying to say is that everyone has their own interpretations of what "god" is and there isn't a damn thing to prove any single one of them right.

God is alive, there are a lot of things to 'prove' this correct. The things that science can't prove correct, like miricals and even men of science(and women) or many of them, believe in God, so y'know. Believe what you want to, it works for millions of people, and they're the happiest people there are, so... :)

He was never born in the first place.
He's just an imaginary character designed by man for their emotional comfort, and a fear-figure so that man become blind followers.

Something if dead must be not a God.
Something if regenerated must be not a God.
Something if need anything must be not a God.
Something if changed must be not a God.
Something if tripled or doubled must be not a God.
Something if fit in this universe must be not a God.
Something if fit in your mind must be not a God.

Yes, I believe in God, The Only God.

Since God is the creator and one of his creations is life it is most likely not a quality He has Himself since He predates it. Can't be dead either for the same reason.
