Jesus Christ, the son of God did have his blood shed as we see when the Roman officer went to check whether those crucified were dead yet. He was surprised to see that Jesus was already dead so he put his sword in Jesus' side and we are told that out came blood and water. The water it seems would be as a result of his lungs filling with water because of the way he was hanging. Also, the nails going through the hands/wrists and feet would have bled. If anyone has the imagination to think about the anguish Jesus went through when he was praying in the Garden before he was arrested, for we are told that his sweat fell as drops of blood. This was a dreadful experience that he had to go through and although he had told his disciples what would happen they didn't even understand let alone sympathise. Jesus had a crown of harsh thorns rammed down on his head and he was beaten, blood shed there for sure. When Jesus appeared to the disciples after his resurrection they were able and encouraged to touch him for he told them that a spirit doesn't have flesh and blood as he did. Later Thomas was also to see Jesus and feel the wounds. Atonement: at-one-ment, that is being at one with the LORD God through our baptism in water into the saving name of Jesus. Jesus has redeemed true believers by his shed blood which we, as a church/ecclesia, remember in bread and wine each week together. If we wish to be in the Book of Life we must try and obey God and remember His son. Resurrection was the proof of all that the Old Testament Scriptures taught. That was why Abraham trusted God for he knew right back then that God could do all things.

There is a Catholic Devotion that honours the 7 sheddings of Christ's Precious Blood:

1. At his circumcision
2. In the Garden of Olives
3. At the Scourging
4. At the Crowning with Thorns
5. While Carrying the Cross to Golgotha
6. At his Crucifixion
7. When his side was pierced with a lance

It's rather countless, but if you're counting biblical locations, just add up each individual king/ruler that he went before, each mention of times he was beaten, each tool used to beat him, the cross, and everywhere in between those places.
