He may have been, if we actually had photos we might know, but the paintings we do have were done but artists hundreds of years after his death be peolpe who it would appear didn't read the account in Isaiah that suggests that the messiah would not be physically attractive.
I've never seen an artists rendition that was unattractive, but there is an interesting variety, few of which take into account the fact that what ever he looked like, he was from the middle east not eastern europe

Soft spirituality? You mean like when He said, "You brood of vipers?" (Matthew 23:33) He would listen to a woman, and in fact, held women in high regard.
I take exception to the "rather hot" idea. Isaiah said the Messiah would have "... no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him." (Isaiah 53:2)
UPDATE: I'm shallow? You don't even know me! And this from someone who called Jesus "hot." Forgive my rolled eyes.

YES JESUS WAS VERY HOT! He was on fire for doing his FATHER,S work, he raised the dead ,healed the sick and he showed love and compassion to all he met.AND LAST ,but not least, he died on the CROSS for your sins and mine. i,m sure the 39 stripes he took from the Roman soldiers made his blood boil , and the crown of thorns didn't do anything to cool his aching body,And surely the nail pierced hands and the spilled blood on the cross was very hot as it poured from his body for you and me,SO yes he was very hot and you need to meet him and fall on your knees and ask him to forgive you of all your sin. and he really did know how to listen to women,read about the woman at the well ,and how he forgave her adulterous life, then she went about proclaiming him as the SAVIOR of the WORLD.He will forgive you too.

Yes, actually all the pictures that I have ever seen of him had him depicted as a rather good looking young man. My mother thought he needed a hair cut. LOL
Most of them were in my catholic school religion class text book. And I remember them to this day.
I saw one once when he had a rather intense look of sorrow in his eyes. He was looking upon Judas. I think that was the most beautiful picture of him I had ever seen. He actually looked as if he pitied Judas, even as he knew that Judas was betraying him. It was a sadly, beautiful piece that I remember to this day.
Every picture I have ever seen of Jesus held a quiet dignity and strength. So yes I must say he was a definitely good looking man.
I remember the look of agony in his eyes and quiet sorrow and pain during the Crucifixion. The picture of the roman guard stabbing him. I remember thinking and they let children see this. I had nightmares for weeks.
The last picture I remember was as he lay dead. He finally looked at peace. And I was glad for him that his suffering was over. And I got very angry at his Father for putting him through that. I think the Catholic religion lost me then.
The artwork in the books were all beautiful and extremely sad. Jesus was ...what can I say...quite handsome. At least the artists depiction of him was.

About 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit...I should imagine. I can't speculate on how the transfiguration affected his or the ambient temperatures.

He knows how to listen to everyone.
He doesn't condemn ANYONE, unlike some other people do.
He respects people....ALL people. He does not mock or ridicule anyone, unlike some people do.
That's pretty cool. There are not many people around like that. Who wouldn't think that was great?
