*Yes, a Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ.
*Well some celebrate Christmas because of the birth of Jesus. It might not have occured on the 25th, but he was still born.
*Some Christians might preach door to door. The times are very different now. We can listen to the Holy Spirit and ask him what he would like us to do.
*I'm glad that you know the answers allready, I'm glad that you are seeking to no more about Jesus Christ. God Bless You

This was the same thing I asked myself when I was searching for the truth.
Churches even celebrate Halloween and they know for a fact this is wrong.
They make lame excuses like they don't want there kids to feel left out.
We need to be Christ like and stay away from pagan holidays.
Jesus was very clear about being no part of the world.
Jesus was very clear when he said go and preach.

Holiday is another word for holy day. Yes, Christians celebrate many holy days (holidays)--and so did Christ. Of course He did not celebrate Christian type holy days because He was Jewish--so He observed the sabbath. The Last Supper was the celebration of Passover. Christ may have gone door to door to preach the good news, however, most of His preaching was done in large groups of people. (The sermon on the mount, to name one).
I have no questions, you just need enlightening--God bless.

Yes the disciples and Jesus celebrated holidays. The word holiday comes from the words holy day. The last Supper was the celebration of a Holy Day called Passover.
Not everyone is an evangelist. In fact scripture says one of the greater gifts is prophecy.
1 Cor 14:1 ... desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
1 Cor 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy...
1Cor:14:5: I would that ye ... ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth ...
So if you ask a question, you should ask why doesn't everyone prophesy. And the Bible does answer that as well.

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy...
18: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
1 Cor 14:1 ... desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.
1 Cor 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy...
These verses give strong audience to the fact everyone can prophesy, but not everyone is a prophet:
1 Cor 12:29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
In Acts:19:1-6, we can read a story about 12 men who get baptized and all of them prophesy.
Also we see this:
1 Cor 14:
23: If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad?
24: But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all
Do see the picture here? It is VERY possible a whole congregation can prophesy. But they are not all prophets. This is very much implied here:
1Cor:12:29: Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?

You must be Jehovah's Witness. You need to follow the spirit of Christ, which is love for our fellow man, instead of concentrating on which holidays anyone celebrates.
So what if we pick out a day to pay honor to the birth of Christ. We know He probably wasn't born on that day. All that really matters is salvation through Jesus, right-standing with God, and a desire to see others find salvation.

So you really don't want answers. You just want to proselytize for the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Actually I do think Jesus (his name is not Christ, that is a title) celebrated Passover, and probably the other Jewish holidays. As for whether they go door-to-door, that's a personal choice, and they're probably doing more for their beliefs/religion than those who do.

Wrong, absolutely wrong.
The Last Supper was Pesach, an annual Jewish Holiday commonly known as Passover. A God required holiday!

If you already know the answer, why did you ask?
There WERE NO holidays during that time.
How could there have been any?
The "so-called" Christians to whom you refer who do not go door to door preaching are actually living their faith. Actions speak louder than words.
I have no questions for you, as you already think you have all the answers.
The Bible also has advice for us concerning casting our pearls. We are told not to do it in certain cases.

Do you think we should only do exactly what Jesus and the disciples did in the Bible? If they did not specifically say to do it we should avoid it? Then quit watching tv. Don't go to the bathroom again. Don't drive your car. You getting the point yet?
As to going door to door. Jesus did this? Could you show me where He did? He sent the disciples out but I don't recall him knocking on doors. People have different callings. Not everyone is comfortable or able to go door to door.

Tough question, I state I am a Christian, yet I question many of the stories told. One thing I know for sure, He did die on the cross for all man kind because that is what he believed he must do. All other prophets or "saviors since that time have demanded their followers die for them.
