For me, at least, it's faith and works as it is written. Religion is nothing more than the outward manifestation of what one believes internally as is expressed by membership within a formal church setting among other people of like minded faith and belief. But nowhere in the Bible does it say that in order to believe in God that one must align themselves with any particular denomination or set of dogma. The Bible is wholly and completely indifferent on such matters as faith in God and the good works that are our duty to perform of a genuine and pure conscience really go hand-in-hand regardless of profession of any particular religious "belief".

I think religion exists to bring us back to reality that we are mere mortals, no matter what acheivements we have. Yes i think one's faith does depend on the individual, in the sense i believe how responsible can you be in carrying out your belief. You tell me which religion preaches that you kill beings and force them to worship me.Today we question certain faths based on the events that are happening around the world. the truth is the faith probably does not even support such works of te crusades or other religious warriors, it is the mindset of an individual or section of people in a society who over a period of time have led all to beleive that their works are works of God, and having done so will cleanse the impure souls......It is the practitioner who can make or break a style or religion or whatever there might be, why blame the tactics itself?

Since there is one Lord, one Faith , one Baptism ---- There is but one acceptable because that is what the Bible says. Period........Eph 4:1 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
As for me, I accept the Bible. You can believe anything you like and that does not change the Bible.

Very true, sometimes a Hindu can have implicit faith in Christ however he may not think it important to get converted or forget his religion. So far as you acknowledge there is just but one God you are willing to hear whatever other religions have to say.......guess being a Hindu it is ever so easy!!

A person's faith is their personal relationship with God. A religion serves the function of people trying to connect with others and with God. We all have an inner need to feel connected to our fellows. The other function of religion it to guide people towards the path of connecting with God. There are different paths, which is due to cultural differences, but I see them all as one, and love and respect all religions because their intended function is to connect people to God and to each other.

One's Faith is a gift & a response to GOD who initiated it.
One's Religion is the framework in which they experience it.
We check our own experience against what has gone before.

Yeah...that's right...bad thing though is most religious people don't like to have individualized faiths..they reject creative thinking, and go with whoever is their pastor/preacher/father/etc. says...((Based off of experiences, not broad generalizations)

That's the problem with organized religion. Everyone has their OWN path, but yet they follow blindly the paths of others. I agree.
