Personally, I don't think that's unreasonable.

The Catholic view on this is that the Bible is metaphorically true, but not historically and factually true. Catholics believe you can use the Bible as a spiritual guide but not as a historical textbook; that the essence of it is true but not necessarily literally true. For example, it's true that God created human beings, but not in a matter of days, but rather through millions of years of evolution. Others believe everything in the Bible is literally true, for example, that God created the Earth in 6 days exactly. But all Christians believe that certain aspects of the Bible are completely true, for example that Jesus literally died and rose from the dead. Really, everyone has their own interpretation of the Bible.

Read, "The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict", by Josh McDowell.

The Bible is very reliable. The accounts, with the exception of some minor discrepancies, all line up. Other accounts outside of the Bible (the most famous observation is by Josephus) agree with the accounts written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Man wrote the Bible, but the Holy Spirit inspired the writing. The minor discrepancies prove that man wrote the Bible, but the accuracy of the "voice", has remained throughout the centuries (millenia, actually) as consistent as ever.

Covered up? How well could someone cover anything like this up? Even today with the speed in which we can find information, not everything could be covered up. There are no texts contradicting or proving the accounts of the Bible to be wrong or false. If there were, surely they would have been found by now. Ever since Jesus walked the earth, people have tried desperately to disprove Who He is. If they had proof, and someone else knew of this proof, then someone else yet would have this information as well. Where is it?

If you can find it, take a look at the book I recommended above. The research and information is quite compelling.

They've made documentaries about the "historic Jesus" many times, and as far as His existence is concerned the "experts" and scholars are all pretty much in agreement that He did exist. Why anyone would try to cast doubt on this I'm not sure, but it's a safe bet to say that if there's historical proof for the existence of the Apostles and other people mentioned in the Bible (and there is undisputable evidence of all their existences), it's a fairly safe bet to say that Jesus not only existed, but that He was who He said He was. Several months ago, I found a website by a secular group of investigators of such matters, and they wrote about a series of tablets and scrolls found in Jerusalem and as far away as Rome where Jesus was named specifically along with several of the apostles, and that the govenor of the province had concluded that Jesus was "not of man" because of the miraculous things He said and did. The argument will go both ways, but in the end, the best recourse for you or anyone else is to do their own research and draw their own conclusions. Myself, I think it silly and intellectually dishonest to be so adamant that He didn't exist for no other reason than that His existence is a threat somehow to some private agenda or grievance not based on fact, but on what the herd says and thinks.

I think if you are sincere, this may be of some help
God woke me up one night and said "get up and write" and I sat up took my writing pad and pen and a song came into my spirit, sound and words and I wrote them down;
the song had 14 paragraphs and they rhymed and had a wonderful message to the body of Christ

that makes the word clear that holy men of God wrote the Bible as they were moved by the Holy Ghost
I am neither a song writer or a poet; it was all done by the Holy Spirit
I think some translations miss some things and a lot may have been watered down, but the basics are there

Some people have the wrong perception of what the "writers" of the Bible are. They did not just sit down and began to write, all of them were instructed by God to write these things down. If you will read the Word you will see that this is true. None of this was inspired by a thought from man. God had a higher purpose when these events happened and thus, we have the Bible. Please stop thinking all of you that the Bible was just was a man decided to write. All of them were writing off of inspiration of the Holy Spirit. When you reject the Word it is the very same as rejecting God.

Man did write the Bible, but it was INSPIRED by God, meaning God told the people what to write. There are no mistakes in the Bible. Jesus was God in human form, come to earth to die for OUR sins so we could go to Heaven when we die. Jesus had all of God's "powers," he could know what you thought and everything else God can do. NONE of the stories of Jesus were made up, and it says in the Bible that many of Jesus's miracles were not even mentioned in the Bible, God recorded enough for us to believe that Jesus was God. I hope this helped you!

God is Jesus father who was sent to earth to die on the cross for our sins. After he died Jesus had a spirit which is the Holy Spirit that lives in all of us. Jesus Power came from God, his Father. I believe we can have that same power that Jesus had, If we only believe and Have Faith.
Moses parted the Red Sea, he didnt do that alone, God through him did. You can read it in Exodus 14

Revelation 22:18-19

For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

All.....that is what the scripture says....All scripture is inspired by God. Man wrote it under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.....

Jesus was the Son of God....who came to Earth and died on the cross for our sins. He had all the powers of his Father at his disposable....None of the stories were made up or covered up....We take God at his word and his word says....ALL...were inspired...

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (II Tim 3:16)

this is been documented that the bible has certainly been replaced, particularly some situations... And the greater severe of those perpetrators is the King James Bible, which replaced many stuff for political purposes... yet, i assume it incredibly is why this is talked approximately as "King James" and not "Saint James' Bible." (A famed occasion of it incredibly is the place he replaced "do not go through an murderer to stay," to do not go through a Witch to stay," because of the fact he had Assassins under his hire, and would desire to formulate anti-witchcraft rules to take the land off of the various previous earnings his usa)

Several times the Bible says it was written by holy men who wrote under the inspritation of the Holy Spirit.

If there were fabrications, why were all of the apostles willing to be killed, rather than renounce their faith?
