He has killed under orders of a christian. He didn't want to kill. He didn't agree with the war. By your beliefs, is he a sinner? Would he get into your heaven?

they say that god loves everyone, but then go around telling people that they are going to burn in hell for being themselves. doesn't the bible say somewhere that you have to be good to others? (i'm an atheist.... don't go bashing my abilities to quote from th bible.) and what the hell do they have against gay people? it is 1, natural, 2, incurable, since there is nothing wrong, 3, it was encouraged and seen as a good thing not to long ago, 4, im gay and everyone thinks im straight, so that rules out the gay stereo-types that magically apply to all gay people. why do people wrap themselves in the narrow mindedness of religion? hell, the reason im an atheist is because i read some of the bible and almost passed out from laughing. religion is what needs to be cured...

Am I really condemned to hell?

Just wondering if it is still thought of as a "choice of sexual desire"?

do you think it is possible for me to be born this way? am i really going to Hell? doesn't God forgive if this is some sort of sin the eyes of the Bible?
What if I dont think of it as a sin? should I?

will they go to heaven?

Jesus was the Only Begotten Son of God. Nevertheless, Jesus is the Christ. So in context, it appears that when Jesus refers to the Only Begotten Son of God, he is referring to his role as the Christ. Thus, the Christ is the only begotten Son of God. Now, the term Son of God is often used in other contexts in the Bible. Thus, Jesus the CONSUMMATE or MOST COMPLETE AND PERFECT Son of God, but there are other people referred to as Sons of God. The natural conclusion: Buddha, Muhammad etc. were Christs? That is, they were all the only begotten Son of God, as they all have the role of the Christos [Anointed with the Spirit.] Thus, there are few perfect Christs, but Jesus was one; and there may be others. Your thoughts?
This is a respectful question so I would appreciate respectful answers. You do not need to agree with me, but please be polite, and I will show the same courtesy.

You hear all the time about people who died for a few minutes only to be revived who had temporary after life experiences. Most of the time they claim to have seen a bright light and then felt at peace with theirselves. Do you believe this is true? Why or why not? If you are athiests what do you believe these people are experiencing?

Most important, does this prove there is life after death?

Some say the 10 commandments and then others will contradict them........

Others say only love and faith and there are absolutely no other laws.....

There are as many opinions as there are people.......

Any unified answer for this one ?

If you are athiest do you ever wonder what would happen if Christians were right. If you are Christian do you ever wonder what would happen if Athiests are right. The idea of what happens after death scares me because there is no way to really know what happens. Please don't quote any bible verses. What if the Bible is just a book or the authors got it all wrong.

I believe that everything is part of god and that life and just about everything else as we know it is an illusion. For anyone who believes in this perspective why do you believe we are seperated from our true nature? Although i believe this is the case, this question has always been one that baffles me

If so, then why do I see so many Christians on here who are so nasty and downright rude while trying to "spread the word". And I'm not refering to all because I know not all Christians are like this! My best friend is Christian and I love her to death so don't get the wrong idea!! But I notice many who are just plain mean while trying to tell the Atheists (their chosen prey, in my eyes) that they should convert or else. Someone that comes to mind right now that does this often is Homeland Security. Every answer that he/she gives is just rude and ignorant. But of course, I guess these people are RIGHT and they KNOW for a fact that everything they say is TRUE.

"The sons of Div were Brihadbhanu, Chakshus, Atma Vibhavasu, Savita, Richika, Arka, Bhanu, Asavaha, and Ravi. Of these Vivaswans of old, Mahya was the youngest whose son was Deva-vrata."

What is a Vivaswan?
Who is Div?

Any information on any of the characters from the passages would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I mean, if you don't believe in what we believe in, why do you find it such a threat that you must try to belittle and destroy it? It doesn't make sense. Do you go out and try to convince the world that Superman isn't real? Why is Christianity a threat to you if you are an unbeliever? In fact, why would you even give it a second thought?

"If anyone secretly entices you--even if it is your brother, your father's son or your mother's son, or your own son or daughter, or the wife you embrace, or your most intimate friend-- saying, "Let us go worship other gods" you must not yield to or heed any such persons. Show them no pity or compassion and do not shield them. But you shall surely KILL them; your own hand shall be first against them to execute them, and then the hand of all the people. Stone them to death for trying to turn you away from the Lord your God." (Deut 13:6-10)

When you finally realized it was all baloney, how did you deal with the loss? You can't lose something that has been such an important part of your life for years, without some grief! How did you get through it?
I'm going through that right now, and I feel lost and alone! There just is no comfort for a thing like this, so what do you do! Were your families supportive? Parents, spouses?
Thanks for your comments!

I realize this is a troll kind of question. But, really I`am not trying to stir a debate. As an Atheist, I actually feel sorry for Christians. It hurts my heart that so many people believe and base their lives on these historical lies. The most dangerous lie ever told, is the lie that appeals to people`s self interest. And that is what the God lie does, it appeals to people`s self interest. I also feel bad for them, because they have been brainwashed. Don`t get me wrong Christians are VERY intelligent people. But many of them were relgiously indoctrinated as childern, which I think is unfair.

In all honesty, I respect and feel sorry for them. You?
