Um I dont hate it. I'm just a different religion now.

I went catholic school, and am now atheist.

That doesn't mean I hate religion, I just don't like other people trying to make my mind up for me and telling me what I should believe in. I'm capable of finding things out for myself and making my own choices.

And pwwatson - why do you presume to know what the asker meant?

My old mum did, in the 20's, and saw so much cruelty by the nuns that she vowed never to expose her children [ me and sisters] to any form of religion.
And she was not a Catholic but simply stuck in a Catholic school.
But I found the group that follows the Bible TRUTHFULLY....

I never really hated it, I just never believed it. I don't hate it now, because I see it for what it is: A device for controlling other people's behavior. I just feel sad for those who are victimized by it. However, for those who need it, I wouldn't try to take it away from them.

I think you will find Madonna probably did and does hate what she thinks is Christianity but she is into the Kabbala cult so she has kept a religion. I also think you meant Catholicism.

my son terned agnostic after going to a catholic school. I went to anglican and methodist schools. they did not efect my faith at all.
