Thank God the word "worst" does not occur in the NT,
and the "worse" case scenario ends with grace (only).

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

My son is 5 months old and has Morning Glory Syndrome. One of my friends said God made him that way because I am a young mom and I need to be punished. Another friend said Satan tried to mess with him but God will get glory out of his morning glory and a third said thats the way it is and god made a mistake which i dont believe. What do you think? My son will be great I know he is very smart. But does God have great plans with his disability just like the many stories in the bible?

Many are using the excuse that God has made me this away.I do not believe that but lets say that He does.
What happened to self denail? Can I do whatever I want because thats the nature that God has given me?
Mat 16:24 "Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me."
I take that to mean that we are to deny what we ourselves want to do and follow Jesus, not giving into the works of the flesh.

i mean, it's necessary to get all our morality from a god, right? an absolute power?

oh wait, it's not?

you say that there is absolute truth without the existence of god? how so? oh, you mean objective, measurable reality. okay. and that absolute truths like "consciousnesses want happiness" can be the basis of morality? but doesn't that lead to hedonist murdering, killing, etc.?

it doesn't? you mean to tell me that in order for you to be happy, you need to live in a happy society? and that's why we don't murder people?

that in fact a society based on murder would actually be a detriment to your own happiness?

oh.

i guess i don't have a question then. humanism has taken care of it.

E.g. eating pork is a culture-specific taboo, not a moral issue. Adultery is an obvious moral issue. Where are the boundaries between the two?

If god is real and has the power to see, know and do anything and everthing, then when why does he stand by and watch children starving, suffering and being killed all around the world and do nothing?

If i could do something about it i would, so why doesn't he.

Does it amuse him.

OR COULD IT BE THAT HE DOESN'T EXIST.

Atheists live a normal life,
we don't need to follow a Bible
to teach us right from wrong as
we all ready know.

Are you that uncertain of yourselves
you need to follow a book that may or
may not be true?
Why don't any of you use a little of
your own Self Control, It will not hurt you
to give it a try will it?

Let me say I am not picking at you,
or being a troll, I would just like some
insight into this question.
And please no Bible quotes I wan't your
answers not something out of the Bible.

What I see around me would certainly be proof of a god, if a god was necessary for its existence... but how do we know that a god is necessary for its existence? Where's the justification for that presupposition? To me, it just seems like an unsupported assertion.

Why don't they make a version that has no contradictions in English so that nobody can misinterpret the "divine" word?

And if its the word of god, how did he mistakenly translate it incorrectly, or does he just speak hebrew?

everything has a reason (not necessarily planned)...but do you agree if we accept this, we have to to stop at one point, and that is a reason that is not caused by something else.
I'm not trying to say it is god,I don't talk about the qualities of this primary reason. I know our science is very limited and we don't know many things, but I want to ask about logical aspect of this problem

Afterall surely having so many Atheists ready to communicate with you should ultimately help your own goals.

So seriously if you could just decide now wether you want the Atheists(Athiest Evilutionists to some) on this site, would you really remove them?

My theory is that life force is a limited thing. All combined in a large pool (somewhere). And when a child is conceived, some of that force is taken from the pool and deposited in the child. Just a random smattering of force.
When a person dies, the life force leaves the body and reenters the pool, where it slowly blends in with all the force. Sort of like a bucket of paint, made up of many colours (each drop of colour representing a life force here). The new drop of colour doesn't blend in right away and if it is removed soon enough, it maintains its colour. If not, it blends with the other colours.
Now back to the life forces. A life force enters the pool and if it is removed, to give new life, before it blends, the new life will be a reincarnation of the previous life. If the life force remains in the pool long enough to blend with the other life forces, it loses the ability to be reincarnated and becomes just more life force material, with no recollection of the previous life

What upsets you more?

The idea that a God sometimes chooses to punish people before they are born and allows that punishment to continue throughout their life.

Or

It is random chance, some people get unlucky and genetic variations do not always work out in peoples favour. It is a bad thing, but it was never intentional.
