Jeremiah chat 10:1-6 The Christmas tree is a pagan symbol. Jesus is God, God wasn't born. Jesus enter a body of flesh(the bible called it a holy thing because it was just flesh to be entered into) He left Mary's womb approx Sept 15th. Dec 25th is the birthdate of Tammuz the sun God. Christmas is not a religious holiday. So let the Nazis or anyone light candles. IT ain't about Jesus. Just paganism. Christians read your bible and stop being deceived by the worlds traditions. Sorry to bash your idol. By the way Santa isn't real either. Jesus when he returns will be wearing a red suit and will have a white beard and hair coming to bring rewards to the faithful and punishment to those who are not his own. WOW THAT SOUNDS FAMILIAR. the book by James Knox the lost cause series explains it great. jamesknox.com

Nazi officers (the SS, particularly) were indoctrinated to believe that ridding the world of Jews was the same thing as ridding one's home of rats or lice. Meanwhile, many still embraced many of their old Christian traditions, and Germans to this day still light candles on the tree at Christmas time.
To draw inferences like yours is pathetic. Not all history is pretty, nor are all Christians perfect. By the tone of your question, I think you have a lot of hatred inside. Maybe you are just a troll, but I am giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Well, why not? He was probably a decent guy who was trying to make the conditions a little more decent. Either that or, knowing most of the prisoners were Jewish, he hoped to convert some of them.
Remember that the German people were also victims of Nazism. They were brainwashed, fed the most horrible propaganda, lies and threats of all kinds. And after the war, as they evaluated what had taken place, many suffered so much guilt they committed suicide. They also were mental patients, lost in depression and despair. The National Socialist Party was not good for anyone, not even the party leaders who ended up very badly, one way and another.

Just as much as atheism is all about whatever any single atheist does.
Do you know that the Nazi officer was a Christian? Do you know that the Nazi officer (if it was an officer) actually believed in Christmas and wasn't merely told to do so? Do you know that that Nazi officer was one of the (admittedly many) who willingly took part in the abuse and genocide at that prison?
There is so much that you don't know, yet you believe ... I'd be careful, sounds like a familiar pattern.

I'm an atheist, and showing that a nazi is celebrating Christmas doesn't change how we should feel about Christmas. I'm sure that the Nazi also is wearing pants, do you wear pants too? Does that make you like a Nazi? The thing to remember about Christmas is that it's roots is in Pagan religion and not Christianity. Many religions that date back before Christ had their central figure's birthdate on Dec. 25th. So when I celebrate Christmas I know I'm not celebrating a truly Christian holiday.

And if you saw a photo of a Osama Bin Laden lighting a menorah, would you say that's what Judaism is all about? Sorry, but this is a really stupid question. Lots of people use Christmas trees, it may or may not have anything to do with their religious beliefs. And even people who claim to be Christian in name don't always practice the religion as Jesus taught it. I even know muslim families in this country who use Christmas trees because they think it's a fun American holiday. But they definitely don't know Christ. Quit trying to pick a fight with Christians and go do something useful with your time.

Most choose not to remember that Adolph himself believed he was doing God's will. He dabbled in other stuff, but the starting point for him was his Catholicism. But it is easier for many to write him off as Fascist,or whatever, than it is to accept that it was at least in part driven by what his Religious upbringing had taught him, including the virulent anti-Semitism present in the Catholic Church at the time. The Holocaust was in many ways a Crusades in our time, with the objective of purifying the human race.

No, that's what Nazism was about. I think it was Himmler who said something to the effect of "We are all good men. To know what it's like to be in a room with 100 corpses, yet still maintain one's moral integrity..." or some such bullshit.
They were deluded, it's not the first time it happened, and unfortunately it wasn't the last.

Don`t be ridiculous. As a fellow Atheist I say "Come on! You can`t come up with anything better than that."
Please revert back to logical reasoning to break the Christian delusion. What in the hell does a Nazi officer and Lighting candles on Christmas have anything to do with Christianity? Your reasoning is about as absurd as their`s is!
