My theory is that life force is a limited thing. All combined in a large pool (somewhere). And when a child is conceived, some of that force is taken from the pool and deposited in the child. Just a random smattering of force.
When a person dies, the life force leaves the body and reenters the pool, where it slowly blends in with all the force. Sort of like a bucket of paint, made up of many colours (each drop of colour representing a life force here). The new drop of colour doesn't blend in right away and if it is removed soon enough, it maintains its colour. If not, it blends with the other colours.
Now back to the life forces. A life force enters the pool and if it is removed, to give new life, before it blends, the new life will be a reincarnation of the previous life. If the life force remains in the pool long enough to blend with the other life forces, it loses the ability to be reincarnated and becomes just more life force material, with no recollection of the previous life

That's very similar to how I view things. IMO, all living things have souls, be they human, dog, butterfly, rose, or maple. When a living thing dies, three things can happen.
1.) Its soul goes to the afterlife Heaven/Summerland/Nirvana/Call it what you will, which like you I see as a great pool where all souls gather to stay for eternity or to be reincarnated later, depending on Godd and/or Karma.
2.) Its soul is immediately reincarnated.
3.) Its soul remains on earth as a ghost to finish something first before it moves on to step 1 or 2. That something can be learn a lesson it should have learned or to finish a job it started or to act as a guard for a location or person. That's why houses can be haunted, IMO.
When a soul is reincarnated, it can come back as any life form, be it what it was when it died or a human soul can return as a dog, a butterfly's soul can return as a rose, or a maple's soul can return as a human, etc. depending on Godd and/or Karma.

I don't believe in reincarnation. I find that once around is enough and often more than enough.

I believe that I will be an individual in Beyond Time and I will not be recycled by or absorbed into the Ultimate.

I believe in the Incarnation of God as Christ and not in the reincarnation of Him or of other spirits.
I do believe in the" reincarnation" of material elements, alloys and substances and i think recycling them is a good idea.
Waste not want not.

For the devil to promote a false religion, he gives a person a demonic spirit that knows the past. Whether it be child or adult, it will seem as if the person is reincarnated from a past life. The evil spirit tampers with the mind to believe in the past as the evil spirit knows the past. Protecting our minds from a very small age is very important. Any occults or idolatry that the parents are involved in goes immediately to their children. They actually offer their children up by practicing witchcraft, occultism or idolatry. Evil begets evil.

Nice theory, however that's not my belief. No reincarnation. Once God creates your spirit and soul and stuffs you into a body, bingo... there you are. After death you return God's domain, which I guess you could call the spirit world are judged and go to Heaven or Hell, depending on the judgment.
