Those people deserved death in the eyes of the Lord......as we all do......because we are all sinners who are worthy of death. But He is merciful & just.

And I do not question His ways.....

He is God. Who are we but mere creations?

What about all the billions of people that have died as a result of Satan leading Adam & Eve to disobey God? Had they not sinned, death would not have come upon the human race.

Those that have died have the chance of a resurrection. The people you mentioned disobeyed God's commands and deserved their judgement.

I would say you are blowing steam . God has had people killed yes , for direct disobedience. But can the potter break a clay pot that serves no purpose. How about Hitler that killed over 5 mill Jews and others. Or lets put it diff how about those that murder, or those that put bombs on innocent kids to take their lives and others.Does God approve of killing and murder Be careful of what you blame God for, who knows if you believe like that he may have you done in after all you blame Him for others .In the old testament they were warned also by God .

Well, considering that He has given people more life than Satan I'd say...He can give and take as He pleases and as we are not terribly opposed as people to offing each other on occasion as it suits us, why point fingers at the very God who established our current morals for which you are judging Him. If he had not stepped in we might still be offering our infants to the arms of Molech and burning babies to death...though abortion is not much better. So thinking along those lines...and its between us, God and Satan...looking back through history at all the wars, the martyrs killed by way of religious intolerance, abortion worldwide, ethnic cleansing, and just plain everyday psycho killers...I'd say the fraction of people God has judged and put to death pale in comparison to what humans do to each other. However, since Satan has no power to either take or give life...he goes around and makes sure that we do the dirty work for Him...so your question should be...as humans....who has killed more for God or Satan. I'd say that Satan has been the bringer of death far more than God the giver of life ever has...we're talking billions here...Nice math work though..did you do all that yourself? Oh...I see..found it on a biased web site. Okay. Well, then I suppose you will be siding with good ol' Satan then...good luck with that. Love in Christ, ~J~

Maybe you only get to read the bible. How many people has satan conned into killing in God`s name ? How many did the roman empire kill. How many did the inquisition kill. how many did the coquestidors kill all the way to the modern day wars in the name of christianity. Gods only in the beginers league.

I AM SO GLAD THAT WE ARE BOTH USING THE WORD OF GOD FOR OUR SOURCE, THANK YOU.I give you a star for that, even if your not applying it in its complete form.

Mark 12:27 "He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err."

You err in the fact that these people could have lived and not died. Had they made the right choice,
Isa 65:12 "Therefore will I number you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not."

John 5:40 "And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life."

John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

John 20:31 "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name."

Well, playing Devil's advocate (not intended as a punt...) Satan doesn't need to punish people for not abiding to his/hers/its word because there are very few rules (I assume) in being a good satanist...while for being a good christian, or whatever they called themselves before Christ's times, there are specific guidelines and standards. Therefore, elimination of the bad would make sense, while from Satan's perspective, elimination of the good is pointless because we're naturally weak and we'll give in one time or another.

I'm not very keen on prescriptive religions myself but I respect the need for structure and morals they teach. I wouldn't take the Bible too literally. God killing people is kind of absurd. I think it's symbolic for them causing their own death/downfall by not being better or trying to improve themselves.

I find debating God a complete waste of time. You take what's there and try to make the best of it in your personal standards or just choose to ignore religion and move on.

Hope that helps!

It seems to be opinion of many on here (JANII for a start) that God can knock off whoever he wants to...

Nice.

And this is the benevolent being that loved us all that we are all supposed to worship ?

I shake my head in despair at the ignorance of some people.

You say God has killed more people than satan, & you try to justify your ideals with scriptures, but one little thought you left out, God only killed or had them killed AFTER they disobeyed God, & the reason they disobeyed is because of satan causing them to disobeyed, So now who really killed those people. Lot wife would have never been turned into a pillar of salt if she had listern to God, but no, she listern to satan. So she paid the penalty for listening to satan.

The God I believe in has not killed anyone for He is the Lord of Life, Goodness, Justice, Mercy and Compassion .

I interpret the Bible in the light of the above belief and Grace and in its context of Apostolic Tradition, the Church and Natural Law and Reason
