Does God have his hand on you?
This is the point we are trying to put across. If you are Gods children why would he allow horrible things to happen to his children? I am sorry that you are an invalid, but don't you see our point there can't be anything there.

I can understand your thoughts pertaining to self control, some have used religion as a hiding place to commit crimes such as the pedophile scandals and preaching one thing and doing another, killing our enemies when we should love them... I can not speak for all but Jesus Christ would be appalled at us today.
peace out

A life lived for self-interest and self-indulgance I dont consider to be normal.

You do need to follow the Bible because without the Gospel youre going to perish.

We know the way of men is evil. We know the ways of God are good. We choose God over the world. That much is certain. The Bible is also a volume of books, not just a book.

Self-control is much needed in the Christian life. Paul says that he has to beat his body to be able to conform it to Christlikeness and all of us go through a similiar struggle. But God helps those who are trying to help themselves. But that is not to say that Christlikeness is achieved purely through human effort.

Hi.I am a Catholic and i have never read any of the 50 plus different version of the Bible. We have the Gospel readings at Mass but i don't study them to teach me right from wrong. For that i use common sense. The main thing we practise is to love all of Gods'children because if we dont ,we don't love God. Simple as that. You don't need the Bible to figure this out.

If I were trying to prove the existence of God to one who believes that there is no God, I would ask them the question, "If there is no God, then why does everyone know deep down in their conscience, what is morally right and morally wrong? Where did our conscience come from?" I might also ask the question, "If there is no holy God, then by what standard do we measure right and wrong?" Or, "If there is no God, then who designed the universe?" Or, "If there is no God, then why is there order in the universe?" And, "If there is no God, what caused the universe to come into being?" Finally, I might remind them that nothing is put into motion unless first put into motion by some outside force. God is the first cause in this chain of cause and effect. He is the creator. (Genesis 1:1)

What is normal? How do you decide what is right and wrong? You have ALOT more faith than I do,you think the whole world made itself.
