I"m doing a 10 min sermonette on Heaven, and my expectations of what I'll see.........perfect weather, beautiful music, perfect grass that will never need cutting, etc. I love to think outside the box. Help me with your thoughts. ...What will you see in heaven- I'd love to share your answers to my congregation. God Bless you

Wow, three hours ago I was thinking of this same question and thought I would come to Answers and ask "What is Heaven Like?" and here you saved me the points! Star for you!

Here's my idea....
I believe that there is no way to describe what we'll see in heaven. They say streets of Gold but what if that's just the closest that our minds can comprehend right now? What if it's actually a material that doesn't exist in the natural world, that is so bright and perpetually clean and never looses it's luster, is somewhat translucent and yet still not slippery so our souls won't slip on it.....

Also, there wouldn't be any need for jewelry because the countenance of the soul is bright as well.....not you-need-sunglasses bright, but just bright enough that jewelry would look pale in comparison.

We won't need to eat, nor sleep. Think of the time saved....then again time won't exist....

Also, you will know and remember people from your past...not like my high school reunion where I didn't remember names or faces. You'll just know who's who because your soul will remember being connected to that other soul in one point in time.

I don't know...I might come back and give more of my thoughts later.

I will see no heaven if the Bible / Koran / Any other damn religious book is anything to go by.
I am a heathen, a person who believes but does not worship, I offer no allegiance to my lords and expect none of their rewards.

The best I can hope for is Purgatory or Limbo.

Don't forget the pearly gates and buildings with precious stones inlaid in them.
