Aren't you tired of people attacking Christianity like this?

All The fullness is in Jesus,Coll 2;9 not a division of the fullness. You cant be in the Godhead. The Godhead = deity, its all of what God is. I can "adequately"describe the Trinity, It's 4th century Greek philosophy. So youre saying there is 3 Gods but 1, like 3 men that share the same 'human' nature, yet i can relate to one and not the other? Believe in Him not them.

Is this the most misinterpreted statement in the Bible? The Gospel of John is philosophically orientated; the Logos or Christ-principle is paramount, as taught in the first chapter. Thus, when these words are attributed to Jesus, he is explaining that only the Christlike have true life, as a gift from God. However, there is nothing to suggest that Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, etc. can not also be Christlike. This is actually a universalistic passage, but people twist it to make it exclusive because of pride.
Could this be the most misunderstood Biblical passage of all time?

until, the tecnology advanced.. they were againts many things... until they realized there was a cure for many illnesses.. if the science says the homosexuality is not antinatural or something wrong.. they said no.. because of the Bible... I don't understand if the Bible is a book of sexuality, if it's a Book sexuality why dont you follow all the rules of leviticus? if the science says there is no cure for homosexuality.. why are you insisting there is a cure? if God gives us the power to discover and give us the intelligence,.. why dont you search for yourself?

I am not an Atheist. I believe in the Higher Power. But honestly, so what if a bunch of people don't. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want to. I just don't understand some people, why would you want to go out on a limb and tell the Atheists that there is God and they need to believe in Him. They know, we believe in God. They don't, so let them be i say. If everyone is given due respect for their beliefs, hell i say this would be a better place to live in. I have friends who are knee-shaking god-fearing pious church-goers, ( friends from other faiths are the same ) and then i have friends who are Atheists. We all get along quite well, i respect them they respect me. My question here really is, why do some people want to change the way Atheists are?

I worked with the son of baptist missionary and asked him about his faith. I posed a question relating to the concept of missionaries and asked: If a person was born, lived their life good but never met a missionary or was never taught of religion maybe being born in africa or some very isolated region.... I asked him... when that person died never knowing of God, would he or she go straight to hell? The person I asked this question to took about one second to pause before saying a one word anwer of ....yes with no explanation other that saying that is the job of missionaries to travel all the world.

Do you got anything that can top that one?

Okay, lets jst say that:
A man is born. He grows up to claim himself as Jesus Christ incarnate. People surround him and they too belive he is J.C. incarnate. When he was a young boy, he performed 'miracles' without knowing it. His parents thought he might be J.C. incarnate. So they teach him the bible, good from bad, etc. He grows up and demonstrates his powers to anyone willing to listen. Science fails in trying to debunk his doings. He receives an incredible amount of followers, 'disciples'. Religion after religion fall as they see HE IS THEE Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Son of God. One day he shaves his head to support a cause, any cause, AIDS, cancer, etc. Then people stare in SHOCK!!! In shock that their 'lord' has the mark of the anti-christ. But it is TOO LATE!!! He begins to take control of the world!!! What would happen to his 'disciple' and the rest of the world? They fed the anti-christ the power he needed to control the world!!!!!!!!

I was raised as a Jehovah's Witness.
On numerous occassions, I saw children of Jehovah's Witness parents abused by non Jehovah's Witness family members or friends, &brothers within the congregation who were far too 'touchy feelly' with married women & some underage girls.
It happened to me and it happened to others. There was an overwhelming tendency to keep up apperances. One was to remain friendly & polite to the individual carrying out these activities. My mother would force me to go out of my way to greet brothers I was afraid of or who made me uncomfortable. I was forced to continue associating with men who tried to or did advantage of me.
Those caught in the act of abuse were not shunned, they were given continued access to the children and permitted to stay in their homes.
It felt bizare...so many people KNEW what was going on and yet went to massive extents to make the abusers feel welcome and to act as though nothing had happened.

WHY? Why do they do this?

If you took one full grown man of each religion i.e. one mormon, one catholic, one muslim and one of all other religions but left out any atheists because they would be considered a "placebo"....

How long do you think these people would live in peace before ripping each other to shreds?

Doesn't that seem ironic to you that people who claim to be following their religion and living their life trying to meet God's expectations may be least tolerant towards each other?

i was catholic up until 2 days ago. now i am on the borderline between believing. i only think logically, i have the hardest time understanding faith. last time i tried faith it doesnt make me feel better its like a false sense of security. there are good arguments on both sides but i see better ones on the Athiest side. also if i ever trying talking to christians i ALWAYS get harrassed or get interrogated. the only answers i get are just believe u dont want to burn do u? i dont need scare tactics.

but if i ask an atheist he is open minded and sorry to say..he / she sounds smarter.

One of my friends had a scary thing happen to her. A while ago she received a a text message on her phone that read, "0 degrees below farenheit". She got it at exactly 3:33 AM, which I have been told is the number of the dead. At the same time she woke up, her rabbit began to bang his head against his cage. She looked at the phone number that sent her the text message and it was an 8-digit phone number. When she called the number, all she heard was silence and some beeps, kinda' like a lifeline on a life support machine. She looked at the time and date the message was sent and it was sent on December 4, 2006. She recieved it a few weeks ago. WHAT THE HELL COULD THIS BE? No B.S. this really happened! Serious answers only, please.

So I understand the Christian reasoning for eating meat; man is special and above the animals in Gods eye... something like that.

I also understand the Buddhist reasoning behind vegetarianism (*all* sentient life is special).

But what ethical reason does an atheist have for killing (and almost always torturing) other animals for no reason (that I can see) other then cultural habit and their own personal desires?

Extra points if your ethical reasoning can also explain away the environmental destruction of raising 8 billion animals every year for slaughter.

I'm one of those CRAZY atheists because that whole eternal life thing seems kinda like a drag. Plus, if a god did exist you would have to serve him forever. That sounds nauseating.
So would you like a god to exist or not? And why or why not?
