Some probably are in heaven, and some aren't. Those who truly held to the knight's code and sincerely fought to take back areas of Christian pilgrimage from the Saracens and didn't participate in wanton looting and killing might be in heaven.

The Crusades originally were a legitimate response to the destruction of churches and Christian holy sites, and the barring of Christian pilgrims from certain areas in the Holy Land. Unfortunately, many of the people who went on the Crusades went for less than pure motives - to get rich, have adventure,etc. The 1204 sacking of Constantinople by Crusaders was probably the low point. Our Christian Church still suffers from the ill will engendered by that action. The original cause itself was a noble undertaking, despite what today's politically correct "historians" say.......

Heaven and hell is ever present in each of us. If the escalator theory were real it would be front row in hell right beside our islamic radical friends.

If they exercise faith in Jesus Christ, repent of their sins, are baptized by proxy and receive the Holy Ghost, then yes they will.

All men and women can be saved.

I don't think anyone can speak for anyone else's afterlife with any degree of certainty. God may have a completely different value system than we do.

Of course. To destroy the enemies of God on earth was a good thing. Too bad they didn't get them all.
