Heard of James Randi and his $1000 000 challenge? http://skepdic.com/randi.html These psychics and spoon benders scamming ppl out of their pay checks could easily get this money if just proving to him that their "gift" is real. If any "psychics" wish to answer this then please explain why nobody has gotten that money since he first offered it 10 years ago

I just think it's wrong how these scammers take advantage of people in need ..if you really had such a gift wouldn't you want to share, for free??

Have a good day and thanx for input

GOD, He still gets their attention?

2007-09-11 10:35:17 · 13 answers · asked by Anonymous

Symbolic.

Everything that Jesus commanded to do they claim is not neccesary but is just symbolic of something else.

Jesus commanded to be baptised but they say it is "symbolic" and not neccesary for salvation.

Jesus commanded to eat his "flesh" drink his "blood" and that if you didnt you would have no life in you. Yet they claim that Jesus was deluded and communion is just "symbolic"

Why do these people follow the commands and technings of men instead of God through the hold bible and holy church.

How come so many non believer's of God ask such goofy questions? Like they are trying to pick on Christians or intice them into a verbal fight. Do they have nothing better to do? This is a religious section. To me, I see it as they "wonder", but really do not know and are interested but are afraid to admit the truth. Why can't they just ask questions to thier fellow non believers about stuff they'd like to honestly know about? A real question. Not a joke question. I mean, I would think that most of us on here are adults and should act like one. Those questions are just foolish and they know it too. What do you think fellow Christians?

That is Christians who haven't read the entire Bible, which is most of them. You'd think that by reading God's infallible word would make a believer out of you. I wonder why that isn't the case.

i don't care what denomination you are or what god you worship. if there is a god, one of you out there has gotta have it right. so why don't all of you pray together for the same thing? you could pray for me to get the chicken pox tomorrow. certainly, god won't be able to ignore all your prayers. if i don't get chicken pox tomorrow, then you have to admit you were wrong. deal? and if i'm wrong, well i have to suffer through the chicken pox. isn't that bad enough?

That most muslim people are peaceful and law-abiding and can't even bear to see the crap that these few radicals are causing to the world.

The world blames Islam and not the people commiting these crimes.

I'd like your views and comments on this.

Like, if you stub your toe, you shut out "Jesus ******* Christ!" or something. Never "Muhammed ****!!!" or "Buddha, that ******* hurt like a mother ****!"

Or if you are downing someone, you may say "Jesus, you ******* suck." But never "Buddha, you ******* suck!" It's always Jesus' name being cursed. Why is that?

yup, I finally came out in my high school and told people I was atheist because a group of guys i was sitting with was talking about the the bible. three of them were really shocked, but one of them (he believes more towards science, but he still thinks there's a god) was really like.. psyched to meet an atheist, lol. so i had to explain to him how i knew i was one. it was really nice though, because all four of them were really accepted of me being an atheist, even though 3 of them were Christians.

now my question is, can i expect most high schoolers to react this way, or are there high school-aged fundies to worry about?

This is just my lack of knowledge here (raised a protestant), so these may be crazy questions. Also, I know I'm asking a lot, so I've numbered them in case you only want to answer one or two. Thanks so much for your input - these questions have been bugging me for quite some time.

1) Do you still practice Judaism (sacrements, holidays, etc.) just like you did before your conversion? Any that you had to omit?
2) Do you think there are Jewish traditions that Christians should celebrate?
3) Do you celebrate "Christian" holidays now?
4) Do you go to church or a synagogue? If synagogue, would you welcome other Christians to worship with you?
5) It took me a while to realize that being Jewish is not just about your religion, but about your bloodline. Have you always thought of them as one, and if so, was this a difficult part of your conversion?
6) What are your thoughts about the belief that you are "God's chosen people?

what kind of sicko would create something like that and force animals to eat their own poop?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coprophagia

among the list are:

pigs,
hippos,
elephants,
PANDAS,
guinea pigs,
RABBITS,
nicole richie,
and gorillas.

can someone explain why, if we were "created" or "intelligently designed" who the hell in thier right mind would sit back and think of something so nasty?

Yes, the pastafarian idea of "unintelligent design" might explain things, but that would require you creationists embracing the FSM as your god.

are you prepared to do that or acknowlede that creationism and ID is just more feces that you are swallowing?

or of course you could give me your own amusing answers.

I've been raised jewish my entire life, in a community full of christians. I've been trying to explore other religions, and the reasons people believe in them. However, I cannot seem to grasp why so many people believe in Christianity. I understand that every religious theory attracts someone, but I can't imagine why so many people choose to become or continue being christian. I am not critiscizing christianity at all, rather I would like to know some reasons why anyone who is christian and using Yahoo answers believes in christ/ the bible etc. It would eally help me to become more open minded and embrace my heavily christian neighbors.

whenever people find images of what they believe to be jesus or the virgin mary, be it in a tortilla or a stain on the wall, would you say this is a miracle or just a coincidence? the reason i ask is because whenever i ask why god won't prove his existence by revealing himself i oftent get told that god has better things to do with his time that waste his time trying to convince me. so is putting his image on a tortilla for someone who already believes in him a real effective use of his time?
