If Jesus said that you need to be baptised to be saved then thats it.

CJ you are a twit. You know nothing of the bible or of God.

Love the way you all interpret the bible the way you see fit and ignore the commands of God.

Mark 16:16
"He that believeth and be baptized shall be saved"

Acts 2:38
38
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

It is my belief that you must be baptized as stated in these two ( and others) scriptures

Lots of Christians will argue against having to be baptized though.....

But, If I am wrong, I got wet needlessly.
If they are wrong and didn't follow the plan...well......Let's just say it would be better to cover all your bases

Baptism is the same as a marriage ceremony. It's only purpose is to show to others what you believe in a public place so that they can acknowledge and support your life choice. It's symbolic, and has nothing to do with your heart's state.

If two people on a desert island spend the rest of their lives together and never had rings or a marriage ceremony, it wouldn't matter. Same as not being baptized. If you love Jesus and belive he died for your sins, that's all that matters.

No one can go to Heaven without being baptized. Baptism is total immersion in water. If the Bible says it is required, then it is required of everyone, not just the people who believe it.
We have to live by God's rules. Not ours.

Yes they can Jesus Christ alone saves. The man being crucified on the cross next to jesus accepted hm and jesus said that tonight he will be in heaven, he was never baptized however still was able to get to heaven. However protestants are baptized to its just when they accept jesus not when you are born like catholics believe... may people were baptized as adults in the bible.

hoever if it is in your power you should be baptized.

Baptism does not save and person. John:316. Some would like to use Acts to 2:38 to prove otherwise but they only use part of the verse.

Baptism doesn't save. Believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again, is what saves.

Catholics are not saved Christians, since catholics have a false gospel of works. Catholics go to hell, but they can leave the catholic cult at any moment and join Christians that are going to heaven, by believing the true Gospel.

Baptism waters are not what saves someone. It is the symbol of what Christ has done for us. It is not part of salvation, but an act of being obedient for that reason alone. Not out of fear of hellfire.

Baptism is not necessary for salvation. Jesus did not say if you do not get baptised you will not be saved. This is such a ridiculous argument.
