He is alive but he's in heaven, The liberals would hate him because he would not stand for gays and gay parades, or gay marriage, or abortion, he would not stand for dirty politics, or liars, or any deviant life style. Jesus was a Conservative. Just like the Father, Jesus said I change not, I am the same yesterday, today and forever. Liberal organizations like the ACLU support every dievent life style you can think of, Jesus would not.

Jesus Christ IS alive today. He is just in heaven waiting for the day that he comes back down to earth.

As several people pointed out, Jesus IS alive today. But I take your question to mean, what sort of person would Jesus have been were he to have been born in the late 20th century?

We know that Jesus was a prophet, that is, someone with a new message from God. This message was received with great rejoicing by many, but with anger and condemnation by religious authorities. He was an itinerant teacher who traveled from place to place bringing this new message, not only to crowds of people, but to select students willing to study and travel with him at great personal cost. He was a physician who cured both mental and physical illness.

A modern day Jesus would have to be a preacher bringing good news to empty modern men. Perhaps he would attack the scandalous divisions among Christians, who instead of working together to spread the gospel and carry out works of charity and healing, have splintered into thousands of warring denominations. He might anger Catholics by claiming an authority not given in ordination--a layman addressing the Church. He might anger Protestants by rejecting the Bible as infallible and the only authority for faith, by saying that he himself is the only infallible authority for faith.

Cheers,
Bruce

Since Jesus Christ is not alive today, you are asking about a situation that is contrary to fact. It is customary when doing so to use the subjunctive mood, as in "If Jesus Christ were alive..."

Also, notice that the initial letters of both the first word of the sentence and the proper name "Jesus Christ" are upper case.

Jesus IS alive today, and I consider Him Lord and Savior.

I'm sure He would be telling the religious people how wrong they are, just as He did the Pharisees. He would also be helping those who are rejected by society, just as he did then. I can imagine Jesus ministering to crack addicts, prostitutes, and AIDS victims on a daily basis.

The fundamentalists and uber-right-wing of the US would consider Him a godless radical trouble making liberal, and try to have Him shut up or imprisoned or who knows? Maybe even killed.

Just like the fundamentalists and uber-right-wingers did 2000 something yrs ago.
