I saw a guy I liked in a different city while I was on business. The project ended unexpectedly & I prayed that I miraculously be sent back. It happened. However, things went badly w/the guy situation which also affected my work in a really bad way. A co-worker had me terminated as a result. Now, I am looking to leave everything behind on the East Coast & start something new out West. If none of these events happened this year, I would not be starting afresh. Could everything have happened for this reason???

The Catholics say that Mary is full of Grace and because of that she is sinless. That verse in Luke 1:28 is misinterpreted because that comes from the Latin Vulgate which was a Latin interpretation of the orignal Greek. This is what the orignal Greek says. The Greek calles her Highly Favored. Not Full of grace. Which is a different word.In Greek it is the single Greek word kexaritomena and means "highly favored, make accepted, make graceful," etc. It does not mean "full of grace" which is "plaras karitos" (plaras = full and karitos = Grace) in the Greek
Now comes the second part. Was Mary sinless? Here is the verse you tell me. It would seem not, since she said she needed a savior in Luke 1:47, "And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior."
I have sent these questions to imacatholic2 and he has not been able to answear them. Is there any Catholic out there that can successfully answear these questions. If there is I would love to chat with you over the internet. Thank you all

I recently learned that Chimpanzees are so close to us, that if you matched blood types we could have a blood transfusion with each other. Yet we can't do that with others like gorillas.

So...did "god" do this so we can just use them to our benefit if need be?

(Google it, it's easy to find... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=jane+goodall+blood+transfusion )

There are over 4,900 identified religions and gods in the history of mankind. Why do you believe in the one you insist is the right one? Have you studied all 4,900 religions and CHOOSE Christianity? Or are you just a christian because you were, as a child, TOLD to be, so you just go with the flow? Did you ever truely think for yourself, or do you just go with what you know because you were told to?

Oh, and by the way, the odds of YOUR god being the right one? 1 / 4,900 = .00020408

Every one sins, and all sins are equal. No one is sinless. The path to Heaven is through Jesus and that is the only way, according to Christians.

So, if a gay person accepts Jesus as their savior, why are they going to Hell, and why is Gay and Christian two labels that cannot be combined?

Yes, they are "sinning", but EVERY ONE sins, so what's the problem?

What about Promiscuous Christians? Do you ever look at a member in your church and think that person is going to Hell or is not a true Chrisitian, because you know they've had premarital sex?

How about Rich Christians, or any Chrsitian who desires money and a lavish lifestyle? I remember Jesus telling one rich man to sell everything and give all his money away, because he cannot love God if he also loves money.

And any Christian who has ever told a lie, and continues to lie with no intentions of giving up telling white lies?

All sins are equal, so how is telling a lie different from being gay?

Satanism isn't really much of my thing, though I do know some about it, but I recently got into a bit of an argument with some kid who claims to understand LaVeyan Satanism, and he keeps spouting off about how one of its main themes is 'not hurting animals and other people'. To my knowledge, LaVey talked about not tolerating one's enemies and vanquishing them at the drop of a hat. Where is this kid getting this stuff?

and Sweeden a society that drains the government of there lack of work ethics.

I am not hateful or bashing atheists just giving you a true dose of why an unbelief in GOD will never prevail in the USA.. President Bush has made mistakes but we have never had a terrorist attack since 9/11 which can surely be attributed to the Clinton Administration.
Britian and Europe have constant terrorist problems. Russia is growing and so is Iran in Military Power and that is why many christians like myself believe prophecy is being fullfilled because we could actually be brought down for the first time by a nuclear war.

And yes Democrats are christian I was just saying the USA is a God loving society and that is why atheism will not grow here and make a mustard seed of difference to the populous.. Why have Atheists regimes always failed?

I mean what if this so clled Holy Bible was just a book by author like Harry Potter. Probably in 1,000,000 another civilization will find Harry Potter and think that real stuff happened. Please answers my other question about religion too. Also, we have never seen god and we have never sensed his presence. H never gave us a sign. It might just be testing faith but letting are loved ones die even when we believe in him is bulshit!!

Whenever a question is asked about homosexuality....many people post....God made Adam and Eve...not Adam and Steve.

Well, who the heck made Adam and Steve then? I thought God created everyone...Bob, Mary, Robert, Ted, Suzie, etc....am I missing something? Do these fundies actually believe in evolution then? God made Adam and Eve...but, everyone else evolved from apes?

Come on fundies...get some new material...this stuff is getting old....you have worn out your rhetoric, and the regurgitation of your memorzied Sunday school verses is getting us nowhere....can you not speak from your heart?

Come on people give me a new line.....

It's often asked "What does atheism offer humanity?" This is usually followed by a list of all that Christianity has to "offer" (like faith, hope, comfort, a sense of love and safety, etc).

But why should atheism have to "offer" anything?

If gods don't exist, gods don't exist, and GODS DON'T EXIST. That fact of reality doesn't have to come packaged with some sort of incentive to get you to accept it, does it?

I notice that American adults by and large seem unable to think beyond a left vs right sides war to what's above and beyond such law vs law; such as grace mercy peace and unity from above it, from God our Father in heaven: higher than the plural divided heavens on high.

I also notice there is more mental illness in America, especially among the churchy folk, especially among those who profess CJ instead of JC: the only foundation laid: Mt 1:1.

I also notice there is more violence and violent weather in America, perhaps due to their adherance to rule of law, which worketh wrath, which is destructive and not constructive, both at home and abroad.

I speak such observations for awareness sake,
and not for accusation or condemnation of any.

Isn't just being human considered to be a sin? This is why you have to be baptized at birth, etc...

Don't those two concepts contradict each other?

You also cannot use the excuse that Jesus was baptized at birth, because we all know John the Baptist did it when Jesus was much older...

Atheists... why not call yourself agnostic?

Agnostics... why not call yourself atheist?

FYI... I call myself agnostic because I don't believe we can ever prove that no god(s) exists... its like trying to prove that purple dragons don't exist

I think the miracles of physics, psychology, the mind and body are absolutely amazing, and therefore must have an amazing Creator. Please don't scream at me for asking this. Just explain it to me nicely.

If you are an Atheist, why did you chose to become one? And why do you believe that there is no God?

as far as I know all the sects of Christianity owe their beliefs from the Catholic religion. if the Catholic Church is wrong in how they worship and serve God and and His people, then who can say what's wrong and what's right among the Protestants when Protestantism is just an off-shoot from Catholicism? even the Bible the Protestants use came from the Catholic Church.

(I have been a silent observer concerning Catholics vs Protestants, so I thought of asking this question.)

i have always caled myself an atheist but recently i have done some things i am very upset about.in the past i have always felt that i want to go into the church when i walk past that feeling is now stronger than ever is it just guilt or is it really god ?i have always been drawn to churches and religious icons but told myself its purely an asthetic interest - art and architechture etc. i would love tohave faith but have never felt i could believe. yet i now worry about going to hell. i am very confused about what all this means. i would love to have peace of mind but fear i never will now. what will happen if i just walk into the church? i have tried talking to god how od you know if there is a god and he or she is listening? can you sudddenly 'get religion' after a lifetime of being scathing about it? i bought a book about catholicism but havent read it yet. i am so confused. help!

Think about it. It's said in the bible that if you have lust in your heart (not even acting on it) you have committed a sin.
Jesus supposedly never sinned in his life, but he lived way past puberty. How can a man that is completely human-as the bible says he was-possibly not have any sexual thoughts, unless he was missing a certain part of his anatomy?

Other than your opinion of interpretation of scripture, why is homosexuality wrong?

Why are so many bothered by it, if it doesn't affect them?

Why does one care what two people do in the privacy of their own home?

Could this be one way in which God may control overpopulation?

If two consenting adult people choose to spend their life together what business is it of yours?

If these two consenting adult people contribute to society through taxes, etc... why shouldn't they be granted the same marriage/property/inheritance rights that heterosexual married couples have?

Not looking for your opinon of interpretation of regurgitation of your memorized Sunday School Bible verses....we all know the scriptures....and have our ideas about their meaning...

Just looking for your opinion from your heart.....why do fundies have such hang-ups with homosexuals?

To project thier beliefs in GOD so much in this upcoming presidential election? I was not a huge fan of voting for President Bush but I did respect him for standing up to his beliefs in GOD unlike Clinton who just lied constantly...

If People thought Atheism was good for humanity better than the gift of a true loving GOD, atheism would of prevailed years ago but nothing has ever taken the place of one TRUTH *GOD* is the hope for every human being, that is why atheism will always be a small group or sect, it has nothing to offer but a one liner-GOD does not exsist.
Do you think Jesus would of came to earth if people loved there fellow human beings? they were concerned about obeying laws not love for the people, they did not think deserved it, just like today.. It's easy to love people we think are deserving but could you ever love someone who killed your child your parent? Jesus can.

Nobody can love the dredge of society if they could then we would live in a perfect world.

I will not use the words, Separation of Church and State because that's not in the Constitution, but what is, is that this country was founded as a secular country, so humor me, how can you justify this on the grounds of religion and law?
