Imagine you had right to do whatever you wanted. And since you had the right, imagine everyone else had the same right (fair is fair-correct??). And suppose too those pesky lines on the highway were considered for 'advisement only' and that you could drive as fast as you wanted and drive anywhere you wanted at any time. You know without any type of 'means tested' experiment what would happen; there'd be chaos. This analogy gives a simplified explanation of what G-d has communicated to Man. G-d created Man, G-d gave Man a Soul and G-d gave Man an intellect. G-d also gave Man knowledge of His Will as dictated through Moses. Man therefore is only a creature of G-d's Will and that no Man can fully understand G-d's Will nor 'second-guess' G-d Will. Popular 'opinion' however about what is 'right and wrong' toward homosexuality has evolved so that yesterday's answer from a few decades ago is quite different than today. Tomorrow might be different again and that to even a more extreme such as Man and Dog. Who knows where it will lead to next. The rules therefore keep changing and that 'right and wrong' are based on 'popularity'. It's time to stop 'popularizing' G-d's Will and really learn what it means to live by G-d's Will.

A lot of these people give thumbs down on these comments about how the bible says it is wrong, or the pieces don't fit, etc. or comment on why homosexuality is good. They are just as bad as those of us who say it is bad. Me? Personally, I believe it to be wrong. The Bible says it is wrong, and let us assume that the Bible is true, because it obviously is for reasons I do not care to get into right now, and if you do not believe in the Bible against all proof that it is real, think of the STDs caused by homosexual intercourse. That is a physical reason why homosexuality is wrong. Furthermore, it is safe to assume that those left-wing people are probably a higher percentage more atheists, and without God, people lose their moral compass, which is why they turn to accepting this disgusting lifestyle; because they have no basis to go off of, and because they refuse to accept The Lord Jesus Christ to guide them.

Sin. Aside from killing, stealing the others are pretty tame. Adultery can still be done by two consenting adults. Why stop at consenting adults? As long as the child is OK with the act why say that is wrong? Heck, even if a person is not willing it is not like they were killed. Why make such a big deal about it. Does any of this sound stupid to you? Your question to me did as much.
We Fundies have a hang up on sin not homosexuals. The act is a perversion of what God created. I grow weary of repeating myself, but it is no worse than any other sin. You may not like the Bible. You may even think we are not interpretation it wrong, but that is exactly why I think sin is wrong. Even evolutionists should find it appalling as it flys in the face of nature and the order they are so proud to say is truth and the way things happened.
As for the law. Hey it is a free country and if you can out vote us you get your way. Until then...

Were you asking them to pick on homosexuals?
Fundamentalists oppose homosexuality on religious grounds. Just like they should support stoning disobedient children on religious grounds. No one REALLY supports taking the bible literally or they would be behaving like islamists too, however, socially the Americas have never had a tolerance for homosexuals.
The Romans did. The Greeks did. It has been common and accepted in certain native american tribes for ages, but Americans just seem to hold onto a conservative view of life and love.
Of course we would become extinct if we were all homosexuals, but we're not all homosexuals. Only some of us are. Female animals mount eachother. Male animals mount. Dolphins and Bonobos actually engage in homosexual penetration.
All the fundies can say is that "It's wrong." They don't have a reason.
Who chooses to be homosexual?
I don't know anyone that would CHOOSE a life that is so hard if they had a choice. The idea of being with another woman is just impossible for me to wrap my brain around. If I were EXPECTED to be gay I just don't knwo what I'd do, and I'm sure that's how it is for homosexual peple EXPECTED to be straight.
How can anyone think they have a right to dictate who should be ALLOWED to love someone else?
It's just flat arrogant.
And you know what? If we had ANY separation between church and state I should be allowed to marry my dog or the shovel in my garage.
If a man wants to marry another man, or a woman another woman...it's two adults entering into a legal contract. How on earth can a non-religious legal system oppose that?

The opinion in my heart would be the same the bible says. It's not natural and goes against the entire order in which things are made. That, and I personally find it disgusting.
If they want to do it, hey fine whatever, but I dont want to see anything associated with it. It makes me physcially sick to my stomach to see anything like that. Yes, I will throw up. So it does, in fact, affect me.
No, this is not one way for God to control over population. If children were born ONLY in marriage and people took their vows seriously, you wouldn't have nearly as many people anyway. You would also have a stronger family foundation across the board.
Marriage was made for a man and a woman, no other combination. That was the point of it. Even the romans knew that and there were plenty of gays there. It's just not a marriage unless it's a man and wife. It's a disgrace to the word marriage by trying to use it in any other way. Now if you want to talk about property or inheritance I dont care, but it should not be allowed to taint the sanctity of marriage.
As people, I will treat them the same as everyone else, but their acts make me sick as I said before. It's not the people we have a problem with, it's the act. It goes against the proper order that we all know to be true. Men and women are made differently for a reason, and that's the way it should stay.

I'm seeing some of the dumbest answers i've ever seen from fellow Christians. If you think god made us all, then he obviously makes homosexual people. IS THAT HIS DIVINE WRATH OR SOMETHING? BECAUSE YOUR FRIENDS MOTHER WASN'T A GOOD PERSON? How can you get mad at someone for something you think is invoked by your own creator? Especially one that has such genetic and psychological basis, it's a trait? Jesus... These fundies piss me off, and I'm a baptist for crying out loud.
It's really a misinterpretation of what the bible says, and it is literal "Picking and choosing" of what sin is worse (Even though all sins are forgiven supposedly). The bible says sell your daughters into slavery, but are we doing that? No. But when the fundies see the gay people itZ OMG GOD!!! INTERPRTED MORAL PANIC!! OMGZ! ONE!ONE!!! ELEVEN!
Homosexuality is not wrong to everyone.
More sad trends from our society.

I think it partly stems from the fact that most heterosexuals feel absolutely no attraction to people of the same sex and they have difficulty imagining or understanding that someone else could feel such an attraction.
Of course, if this was the sole reason, then they should also be saying that having sex with really, really ugly people is wrong...

You mean aside from the fact that their book says its bad in chapter so-and-so-, verse such-and-such? Most of the hang-ups come from the fact that they're told it's supposed to ehe hang-up. They have some spiritual bliss where they "get saved", but then fill their head with all the literature they can find.
As for secular reasons? Mostly because people don't understand it. People usually go through their lives without seeing it or having any openly gay friends.

i was just discussing this with my mom the other day actually. for some reason she has something against homosexuals and it really bothers me, so i was getting on her case about it BECAUSE i dont understand why there is anything wrong with being gay. ^so whatever these ignorant, die-hard jesus freaks are saying, its ridiculous. (and oh wow you guys are so super-duper clever, "adam and steve" whoa boy) being homosexual literally doesnt affect anyone negatively, (except maybe those who actually are, go figure..) so why is it a big deal??? i cannot stand people who have something against homosexuality, you have your belief and thats fine, but the fact that you preach and preach about how wrong it is and how god created this person and steve and blah blah. well he also, (if he exists), created a freaking human mind. just because it looks strange to you, or they cant reproduce or some crap like that, doesnt mean its wrong. ive seen gay and lesbian couples that care for their children more than any straight couple ever would. that has nothing to do with it, its just ignorance that considers homosexuality to be "wrong".
im 15.
im a straight female.
i was raised catholic.
i support homosexuality 100%.
is that strange??
EDIT: and by the way, when i said only the people that are actually gay are affected i meant they are the ones who have to deal with hatred and violence and bullying towards them simply for being different, and having a different preference.

It does affect me when my child asks why those two guys are walking side by side with there hand in each others back pockets. Or why are those two guys kissing like that EEEWWW. It probably wouldn't bother me if it stayed behind closed doors, but the thought is still disgusting. God doesn't condone this kind of activity to control population or for any other reason so that was just a stupid statement I'm sure. Right? How you spend your life is no business of mine unless It directly affects me or my family.Marriage is one man and one woman. If there are two men or two woman it is something else like a legal binding or a junction of the two. Therefor you don't get what comes with a marriage "marriage/property/inheritance rights" you get what comes with the something else.
