I know I should ignore it but when it's coming in day after day I find it really hard not to sink to their level, which I know is bad for a man of my senior years, but I'm only human!

Thanks for your thoughts.

I am atheist and I took a quiz on emode.com (for fun) titled "Holier Than Thou: Which religion matches your beliefs?" These were my results:

"Christy, your belief system is best suited to religions that value open mindedness

How do we know? While you were taking this test, we compared your religious beliefs against 10 of the world's most common religions. Your score shows that you share core beliefs with religions that encourage you to find your own spiritual path.

You are attracted to a religion that tolerates mixed beliefs about the existence of God and upholds the idea that there is something to be learned from every religion. You are open to a wide variety of religious and spiritual ideas. You are attracted to spiritual groups that are composed of typically open-minded and intellectual people who actively engage in individual exploration of many different spiritual truths."

-Do you think this is an accurate description?

"GOD..."hath in these last days spoken unto us by his SON...who being the brightness of his glory, and the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON" - Hebrews 1:1-3

“Yea, all the kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him. For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper... His name shall endure forever, his name shall be continued as long as the sun, and men shall be blessed in him, all nations shall call him blessed” (Psalms. 72:11-12, 17).

“Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a Virgin shall conceive, and bear a Son, and shall call his name Immanuel,” which means: God is with us (Isaiah 7:14). --

Jesus was born 2000 years later. (Prophecy fulfilled)

In 2007 we are in the around the 2000 years of Christianity.
Will Jesus appear before us like he did the ancient Jews?

The Crusades, the Inquisition and the persecution of witches resulted in more than 250,000 people being killed. That's a horrible number, but let's assume it's wrong and multiply it times 4, so a million have been killed.

Mao Zedong, atheist, killed 40 million. Stalin, another atheist, has 20 million to his credit.

Nobody's proud of the Crusades and Inquisition, but where do atheists get off constantly carping on the former tragedies and completely ignoring the murder committed by atheists?

Predictable answer: The atheists didn't kill for atheistic reasons. So what? Do you think it's fine to murder millions, just so long as you don't do it for religious reasons.

Is it not a sad day when a good man gets his account suspended for advocating prayer in school when this whole Yahoo section has the rights of gays and lesbians, atheists and terrorists through out?

I am really sadden that the "Freedom of Speech" is preached so often through here by most Liberals, but yet when a Conservative Christian exercises his rights and opinions, they mean nothing.

GEORGE BUSH - Quoted this::
" No I don't know that Atheist should be considered citizens , nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation Under god."

36 million American do not believe in GOD ( this number also include agnostic - Barna research 2004 )

In a study by the University of Minnesota , more then 2000 people were asked which of their fellow citizen lacked the proper " Vision of The American Society ".............More then blacks , gays , immigrants, Lesbians or even Muslims......Atheist are viewed as the least American

Christians make of 75% of the United States population and Christians make up 75% of the prison population BUT Atheist make up 10% of the United States population and Atheist makes of only 0.2% of the prison population ( federal Bureau of Prison 1997 )

You are either expectant and happy

Somewhat afraid

Could care less about the subject.

If you are happy you are a believer ready to meet your King.
If you are somewhat afraid you are worried about your standing with Christ

If you could really care less you are an unbeliever who will be in complete shock if it happens

Agree or disagree?

If you are a heterosexual couple in the US and you get married, that marriage is RECOGNIZED EVERYWHERE, so why is it that if homosexuals get married they are only to have rights in the state they are married in? IMHO that is like people are plugging their ears saying la la la la la.

I feel that there should be some sort of federal law that protects EVERYONE.

What do you think?

What problems has it caused for you? Please be specific.

Back in the day inter racial couples were not allowed to marry, religions were not to mix and now homosexuals still are not allowed to marry like they are second class citizens.

I can hear the arguments that if homosexuals are allowed to marry then people would want to marry objects and children. CONSENT AND UNDERSTANDING has to be taken into account. Are they both consenting adults? YES then let them marry.

I have heard the excuse on how would people file taxes. JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE.

Give me a reason that does NOT include RELIGION in it as religion is personal to an individual and should be separate from STATE affairs.

Is there anything according to Jewish teaching that says there is a specific sin or sins that will not be forgiven by God even though a person, Jew or gentile is sincere in repentance? In Chrisitanity there is something called sinning against the Holy Spirit that will not be forgiven. Is there anything in Judaism that will not be forgiven by God if a person asks God with a sincere heart and commits to not repeating the offense? What I am asking is if there is anything considered unpardonable? Murder, rape, etc....anything at all? Thank you, very much!

i just wondered, seeing as that's a reason Christians give for denying homosexuals the right to marry

oh well, maybe homosexuals should be glad theyre protected from the costs of weddings, adultery and divorce...

If living a good life, and or water baptism is a requirement for everyone else-----Then God compromised His requirements in this case.-------------But if the manifestation of His grace is the goal of salvation, then God acted entirely righteously. I too was a member once, I now choose grace---what are your views?
