I am in very deep trouble My name is Kelvin Bown. I am 36 years old. I live in the Sinai desert. I have been attacked and finally been possessed by a very evil spirit, or demon,. I am totally broken. My soul is in pieces. Please dont ask me to look for psychiatric help, I am aware that my "imbalance" is spiritual andI know medics dont understand this even though I often feel suicidal and despair. I dont want to just seem and feel happy, I want to be close to Jesus and God again and be clear enough to do their will, like I was before.I was so different full of light and awareness, and helpfulness, working with children and animals, art music and pottery and inspiring pothers in creativity and spirituality. So much of my self has been massacred and destroyed. I feel totally disconnected from spirit and freaky things are happening to my energy. I am getting visual hallucinations and horrible programs slipped into my mind when my mind is too bust to concentrate. I just dont know what to do

My boyfriend of 5 years just told me on Sunday that he doesn't believe in God. This is quite the shocker since I have such a close relaionship with God. I am at the point now that I cannot believe he never told me before. He has always been there for me with my beliefs and we have gone to church together a number of times. He told me that he knew I did and he didn't want to discourage me, because he knew that I did. We have talked about getting married on numerous occasions, but the Bible highly discourages christians to marry non-christrians. After 5 years I have fallen completely in love with him, though, but now I cannot quit thinking of this...what would be your best advice??

Ive heard atheists comparing the existence of the God that created the heaven and the earth to Zeus, etc.

Is it really rational to do so, why and why not?

I know many secretly help the police. I have been to one in the past who was good and things have come true - but was this merely coincidence?

"I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; you shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol, whether in the form of anything that is in heaven above, or that is on the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and fourth generation of those who reject me, but showing steadfast love to the thousandth generation of those who love me and keep my commandments."

At the time the Israelites were slaves to the Egyptian rulers there were civilizations/people in what is now China, India and Greece. Likely, there were also people in the Americas. But God specifically notes that He is speaking to the people He brought out of Egypt. So is He only speaking to the Israelites and their descendents?

when Jesus said, " do not judge lest you will be judged", why don't they follow what Jesus said?

I hear so many born-agains say that other people who died that were not "born-again" are now in hell, and that living people who are not "born-agains" are going to hell.

isn't that an example of judging? they are playing God.

has anyone ever noticed that particular teachings by "born-agains"?

I have always envisioned Him as very serious, with a hint of depression. I do not think of Him as a bubbly personality who is always smiling and laughing. How do you envision His personality? When I think of Him, I think of the weight of the world on His shoulders, a bit of uncertainty in regards to the future, depression because of Man's nature.

Presumably there are other stars that we cannot yet, and may never be able to see, being as they are, so far away.

If I believed in god then I think this was because god was expecting us to use science to one day invent the telescope, so that we could see and appreciate them. (religious people are always going on about how god created this beautiful world for us....well presumably you mean all the stars too?)

As an atheist I think it's easy to explain all these extra stars.....because there was no "god" involved in creating us or the earth. It therefore doesn't matter that there's lots of stars we
can't see, because they were created randomly, nicely and neatly explaining their apparent randomness!!
I can't imagine any other at all reasonable or logical explanation, though I'm sure there are believers out there who'll give it a go!! LOL

I guess the answer is yes.

Here's my real question:
When he got to heaven did he keep the clothes?
I can understand if he decarded them, for they were earth clothes.

The recent protest from the christians relics and the Govt.of US asking people not to take yoga classes and get influenced takes us by surprise. Its really rediculous and only prooves the lackings of depth in the religion and presence of fanaticism in large. Let christians prove themselves that they are not practicing vague religion 'cause till today the truth behind crucification of jesus has not been prooved or may be they don't dare to know the truth.

I have met many Muslims and they are the most peaceful people I have ever met. Why are people so against all of them? Let me guess..... the mass media? I am not a Muslim but it saddens me that my mother and brother are against them as a people. They are my brothers and sisters and I want to unite with them as a people.

Both have not been proven yet 1 is allowed to be taught and accepted in the school systems while the other is not..

I'll go first:
Worst possible thing: Hell

Does God advocate it?
Yes, since he created it and allows people to go there.

Does Satan advocate it?
No, since he opposes God's plans

Why is it that the worst possible thing is desired by the most loving being?

I have had such a rapid change in my life due to no outside facotrs (such as death of family, extreme event etc) that God is real and I should change my life for a life with him.

I am not mad, delusional, prone to gulibility or ill nor am I stupid, uneducated or lonely. My life has been based upon science and engineering, yet still I cannot deny God. I am happily married with great kids a good job and life is generally good (and has been for a while).

How can I have such a strong compulsion for God and Jesus Christ if it's all a bunch of ****?
