The recent protest from the christians relics and the Govt.of US asking people not to take yoga classes and get influenced takes us by surprise. Its really rediculous and only prooves the lackings of depth in the religion and presence of fanaticism in large. Let christians prove themselves that they are not practicing vague religion 'cause till today the truth behind crucification of jesus has not been prooved or may be they don't dare to know the truth.

I think the answer is quite easily found in Jeancommunicates' answer "You guys have been pushing for a long time."

It's a backlash. For years, the courage to question the existence of god and/or the desire to seek out the spiritual in something other than the Bible has been becoming more and more commonplace. In reaction, some Christians (think of those who formed the Christian Coalition) are fighting back. It's to be expected: one side pushes, the other pushes back.

Okay. We understand that you prefer Asian mysticism, but an "identity crisis" - "superstitious" just because we don't like yoga classes or Asian mysticism pushed down our throats.

You guys have been pushing for a long time. The New Age movement is full of Asian mysticism and all of a sudden Christians decided that's enough foolishness in America. Christians are deciding ENOUGH is ENOUGH. The USA is not better but worse because of some of this foolishness. I think some good people decided to take back their country.

You may just be a dead dog and you don't even know it.

Christians have lost the argument so they are trying to impose their will on everyone else by sheer force of numbers now, denying reality by attempting to discredit any science that disproves their fanciful creation ideas, it makes Christians look unreasoning and frankly dishonest.

I have read that Christian owned halls are refusing their premises to be used for kids yoga classes in case children become influenced by meditation techniques.
