This is absolute HOGWASH and you know it. Rioting and killing people over a freaking cartoon is not a equal and opposite reaction. GET REAL

The double standard is what tends to annoy people.

What about the cartoons lambasting Christianity and Jews?
Oh right, these are fine as they're done by Arabs. You could say that the Danish cartoons were "an equal and opposite" reaction to these.

The protesters cry "Death to ". Once the protesters learn to protest in a civilised manner, then some results may be gained. Plus, no nation submits to terrorist tactics. It would be extremely stupid to do so.

Yazzy, you may be too young to remember this but in the 1970's and 1980's and even still into the 1990's there were PLENTY of Christians screaming Hallelujah while womens health clinics were being bombed and doctors and nurses blown up and shot (along with many innocent patients). To the rest of the world these were Christian fundamentalist terrorists. But here in the US they were called sick, misguided individuals. How is what they did any different from an Al-Qaeda marketplace bombing. (Something which America Christians blame on ALL Muslims even though they can only be traced to extremest cells.)

There are a lot of people who dont know what Islam is actually. They got to know it only after 9/11, that there's a religion called Islam, which supports terrorists.

This is all they know.

They believe whatever the media shows them. Most of the people never try to really understand what Islam is. There have been numerous instances were we Muslims have tried to remove the misconception but alas, they turn away from the truth. People are so much illiterate about Islam, some one asked a question like this " How do Muslims live", " my neighbor is a Muslim, what should i do".

We too are human beings, remove the media seal, interact with us, get to know us better. People have developed a universal hatred against Muslims. Most of the people who have such feeling have never interacted with a good Muslim for sure. But still they live with the feeling........

What an argument can justify the paradox of those talking of tolerance, peace and decency?Even,a sober stateswoman like Her Exalted Majesty the Queen of England could not refrain from pampering such prophets of hatred singing satanic verses to ignite reaction.

When they kill innocent people, burn down buildings, and riot in the streets by the millions, I don't consider that an "equal and opposite reaction" to a cartoon.

Sorry, one does not justify the other.

It is the over reacting that escalates violence.

Peace be with you.

Give it an hour, although this is not a scientific test it is an application of logic. I will be interested to see the results.

Edit: Ok even though I have picked best answers based on my limited understanding of the beliefs, I think you will find only one attack against me(amongst all the answers), and that was not from the people I asked. You make your own assertions, thank you have a nice day.

Action and reaction it probably makes a chain or a circle. If there is chain you can incriminate the responsible. However, if you see action-reaction-action in a circle form, then whole circle is required to be reshuffled to reform.
