That might be a good question but for some reason it makes me very angry.

This used to be the case, many, many years ago. The inability to conceive children was grounds for an annulment (not even divorce, but full annulment) for both men AND women.
However, these days, even the stringent Catholic church believes that it is more than ok for a couple who cannot produce offspring to marry.
Keep in mind that it's only been within the last hundred years that marriage was for "love" and not to align families and fortunes. The entire goal WAS to have children, so this is a marked change.
The reason why homosexuality is banned is that it is prohibited against in the bible. Kind of. Bible scholars argue over the meaning of phrases that ban homosexuality all the time. It's hard to tell what the original meaning of the authors was. In some cases, it only seems to ban homosexual relationships if the person is already married. And lesbians get off scot free in the bible. Search it out online and you'll find a wealth of knowledge.
On a biased note :) I don't know what the writers of the bible intended. But I know that Jesus said to love each other as we love ourselves. I think that's the most important thing to remember.

That's the trouble when you stop blindly following what others tell you and start to think for yourself - you start to find inconsistencies in any belief system.
"that's a reason Christians give for denying homosexuals the right to marry"
See?

Yes, but only if it then gets to be dragged through the media day in and day out that the world at large is against such unions with reasons supporting such a decision. It's not at all demeaning to me to hear that my love is not only an abomination but also a clear result of my love affair with Satan. So, I totally believe that these rules should apply. Let's just rub it in while we have the chance. Why not? They do all the time.

Reproduction is not the purpose of marriage. It's the love of a man and a woman that is the purpose of marriage. Having children is a blessing, but it's not the sole purpose of getting married. It's all about love.
Marriage for homosexuals, though, is a totally different issue

Please read up on, or look into such items before making a one dimensional statement. Christians as one group, that's crazy. People call them self's Christians all the time and some are not even close. A Christians that really lives for the truth of Jesus Christ would say Gay marriage should be forbidden because the Bible calls it a perversion and against God. Not being able to have baby's is part of it. Read the first couple of pages of your bible Adam and Eve were to be one flesh (sex) and multiple. It doesn't say Hey Adam do what ever feels good and lets see what happens......

Majority of Christian believe the act of homosexuality is a sin, not the person being sin, but the act of sex with same sex. Also sex outside of marriage is a sin. Sex inside marriage is not sin. Sin being anything that separates you from God and his will for our life. Gossip, lying, drunkness, and so forth are all sins.
Making love inside marriage is a blessing and inside a couples bedroom is a place to enjoy each other.
So techinically your question is not even accurate to what most or a majority of Christians believe. Homosexuality is based on lust and desire often times. and the act is just as much sin as other sins. It has nothing to do with reproduction. Especially when you consider today homosexual couples can have babies with the help of science.

Given that babies are fruits of a marriage, do not reduce the biblical concept of marriage to wholly making babies. The bible states that the woman is to be a help meet for the man, not a baby factory.
For Christians who know they are infertile, informing and discussing with your "partner to be" about the issue should be the way forward. If you both want to go ahead with the marriage, go ahead It still does not provide a cover or excuse for homosexuality.

Excellent question but unfortunately any question like this will never be acknowledged or they will move the goalposts. I've asked before about stuff that shows the homophobes hypocrisies but they never answer or claim I'm trolling. The christians/homophobes are never going to admit that they are hypocrites

They actually aren't denied. However, with the sacrament they are expected to adopt kids or volunteer alot for kids programs. Funny, gays could do that just as easily. But nooo, we'll accept a 2 thousand year old book as the driving force for American secular laws.

Christians do not make the laws. Lawmakers make laws.
Marriage is defined by God not by man.
Marriage is the joining of a man and a woman to become one flesh.
Lawmakers many place are legalizing civil unions.
these are not marriages.
You are not seeking equal rights but that a word be redefined.
Marriage is not simply for procreation.
