I know I should ignore it but when it's coming in day after day I find it really hard not to sink to their level, which I know is bad for a man of my senior years, but I'm only human!

Thanks for your thoughts.

is your choice to loose your temper.

Is it really hate mail? Or is that your imagination because you cannot believe there are no gods and you get annoyed when others prove there isn`t! Or ask for positive proof which you, nor anyone else can supply? And your feigned losing of temper is sheer frustration because you can see your beloved god has feet of clay?
A person of your age should have, by now, realised that religion is based on fear, if you don`t believe, then you`ll burn in the non-existent fires of hell.
All religions state that to go to heaven you must believe WITHOUT PROOF!
That is like asking someone to lend you a million pounds and will only guarantee re-payment if you believe they will not scarper with it.
You would be cheated, as religion is cheating you, and others now.

The only reason I can think of that you would be receiving hatemail is that you have offended someone or more than one person.

Perhaps you should focus less on how to deal with the hatemail and focus more on how to stop receiving hatemail. You could try to exemplify your beliefs by being tolerant, understanding, and loving. If that doesn't work for you, disable the feature on your profile that allows other users to message you.

She does that plenty, honestly. you're actually not the 1st guy or woman i've got heard to get a bitchy e mail from her. If she's a brilliant adequate gadget to invite for stars, what are you able to assume? i'm particularly helpful she's the comparable as Tanya hour of darkness Atheist who constantly reported "provide the lovable little monkey a action picture star" (even although her avatar become an orangutan-- an ape) and sent human beings hatemail for not giving her stars.

Pray.... (sorry, couldn't resist!)

I'd be interested to know why exactly you are receiving hatemail from anyone!!!! Then perhaps, as an atheist, I could give you a more informed response.

Well, after reading how you choose to portray yourself on your profile, I think I really don't need to know much more! I hope that you manage to find some other focus to bring the calm to your life that your fervent hate of people with differing opinions to your own is failing to give you. Best of luck with that!! I rest my case, safe in the knowledge that both myself and the majority of others who have answered this question are far more intelligent, open minded, objective and considerate than yourself. I suggest you look to us all for a bit of inspiration!!

Try exercising the fruitage of the spirit.
Galatians 5:19-26
It is hard, but you must rise above the hate. demonstrate love even with people that hate you, sometimes you just have to look the other way, and show the opposite of hate to accomplish a better outcome. We can't change the world, but we can certainly change ourselves for the better, one day at a time my friend. Persevere.

Perhaps you should examine the reasons you draw the alleged hatemail. Lets take a look in your profile. You use language that is pretty inflamatory, such as:

"...Illiterate Morons.."

"Don't you love it when losers you piss off start stalking you? Yahoo Answers is filled with these "clever" people."

"Liberal Demophytes and morons think I am an evil jerk because they cannot force me to become as stupid as they are."

It is as though you are inviting said "hatemail."

If it bothers you so much then you need to adjust your own attitude in such a way as to avoid receiveing it.

Few things provoke more anger than religion and politics. If you find yourself getting offedned easily, this section of Yahoo Answers probably isn't for you. You're going to get a lot of opinions from people with positions very different from yours, and sometimes those opinions can be stated rather...strongly.

Have you thought about sticking to boards made by Christians for Christians? It'll probably help with the blood pressure.

Hi,

I am happy to answer you.

Look friend , in Noble Quran , Allah says " And the servants of the Most Beneficant God are those who walk humbly on the earth and when an arrogant/ignorant approaches them , they say "Peace" "

So bascially this is a verse which gives us with a wonderful example .

To repel then show your love , atheist would hate you when they would see that thier hatred is becoming your power and source of happiness.

I advice that you send greetings to them instead of ignoring.

For they know not , they are ignorant of the Gods Divine presence, It's upto us plainly to convey the message to make them believe in God is in Gods hands.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has told us " Tie your camel , and put trust in Allah (The God) "

If you scrutinize this Noble Verse and the saying of Prophet (peace be upon him ) then i m sure you will get to know what you need to do!

Take care
Have a nice day

The question might be, "why does it bug you"? If you are confident in your beliefs then someone with a divergent opinion shouldn't rattle you. While it doesn't rise to the level of true persecution, you could still apply the principle of praying for those that abuse and use you.

Hi. I understand how you feel. I get that way when I read really hateful Atheists' posts disguised as questions. Without really thinking, I'm ashamed to admit that my first "knee-jerk reaction" response is sometimes just as bad, and I have to backspace over it and redo it.

Unfortunately we are only human. So I just stop for a moment and think about Jesus and how He would respond. Then I immediately feel very sorry for people who are so hateful. Because they don't even have Jesus in their lives. They don't know His example or understand His love. So I just pray for them that they can soften their hearts, maybe even enough for them to realize God's love.

(I also find it so ironic that some non-believers behave the exact way that the Bible predicted they would. So in a weird way, they actually give more credibility to the words in the Bible without even meaning to!) Hope this helps.

Matthew 5:10-11 -- Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

John 15:18 -- "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first."

2 Timothy 3:12 -- In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted,

Romans 12:20 -- On the contrary: "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
