Yeah, Jesus isn't his call and in no way grew to become into. Iesus grew to become right into a pagan rendition, imo. Yeshua is his real call, and which will continuously translate as Joshua, provided that no J exist in Hebrew that would then be Yeshua/ Y'Shua. i think they replaced it because of the fact of Joshua in the OT. To be honest nevertheless... its allegorical it is what Paul grew to become into speaking approximately while he stated the previous college grasp. evaluate this, Moses (the regulation) frees the tribes from Egypt (actual bondage) yet won't be in a position to take them into the promise land (considered in the actuality that he dies in the previous attaining there). besides the fact that Joshua/Yeshua is the only development that could convey the misplaced tribes right into a singularity in the promise land. See?

Yeshua is considered to be the real name of Jesus in Hebrew. The ben part means "son of" So, Yeshua ben Yoseph tranlates into Jesus son of Joseph.

One additional note, Jesus/ Yeshua is more often referred to as "son of Mary," which is somewhat unusual in his culture.

Some New Testament scholars think this may mean that Jesus' father died when he was young, and he was therefore known by his mother's name, instead.

As salaamu 'aalikym, my friend.

Yoshua bar Yoseph or Yeshua ben (or bin) Yeseph are two variations of the Hebrew name for the Prophet Essa (peace be uopn him), which is the Arabic name for the Greek name "Jesus son of Joseph". (We have to guess at the vowels as Hebrew has no vowels, nor does it have "J" in its alphabet.)

After having been rejected in their attempt to reform Judaism by calling Yoshua bar Yoseph the "son of God" and proclaiming him the awaited Messiah, the writters of the canonically accepted Gospels (or Ingels in Arabic) sought to convert the Greeks and Romans.
In doing so, they changed the Hebrew names to Greek, added parts of the Greek and Roman mythology as well as some of the theology of the same, virtually totally dsimissed the fact teh Yoshua was Jewish ( a devout rabbi no less), changed the very nature of God from One to three (in guestionable theological mathematics) and, with the aid of their best evangelist, Paul, created a religion called Christianity.

It is interesting that the revealed scripture regarding a prophet of God was neither written during his life time, nor immediately thereafter (having been written 70 to 150 years later) and they were not written in the languages he would have spoken in his daily life (Aramaic and Hebrew). They disregard the Judaic tradtions that he would have lived by and added what would have been considered blaspheme by the Jews (no self respecting Jew, let alone a devout rabbi, would have ever said that he was the literal "Son of God", although it would have been fine to say one was a prophet if he was able to produce the appropriate signs of the same, which the prophet Essa (peace be uopn him) did as the same is revealed in the Holy Qur'an.)

Ma'a salaam

In English, Jesus son of Joseph. Of course, the Christians say he was son of God, but the Jews around him assumed he was the son of Joseph the carpenter.

"Yeshua" ibn Yosuf [son of Joseph], the "Elect One" and the Messiah, is the Master, Teacher, and the Greatest Prophet of them all.

His name was later Greco-Romanized to "Iesus Kristos" and subsequently Anglicized to "Jesus, the Christ".

Praise be upon Him!

Peace be with you.

Isn't he the one whose name the christian church used for 2000 years to oppress my people? And isn't he the one that claims that his Jewish god is better than our Gaelic Gods? Isn't he the one that taught my people not to fight? I invite you to my dwelling to see what his teachings did to my people. My forefathers have fought occupation for 2000 years, even though the catholic church told us to give up every step of the line. May Thor hammer the yellow Bastard out of our territories soon! :-S
