Laws of not killing have been around for several thousand years and WAY before the ten commandments came down from the mountain. Hell the epics of Gilgamesh were written 1500 before exodus even happened. I hear preaching about how the US school system is going to hell because they "took God out of school"
Why do people think ONLY thier faith has morals?

After the Last Supper, Jesus and His disciples went to the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus said to His disciples, “Sit ye here, while I shall pray.” And He took with Him Peter and James and John. Then He asked them to stay and watch while He prayed. (Mark 14:32-35)

When Jesus was arrested, Matthew 26:56 states: “Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.” Mark 14:50 also states: “And they all forsook him, and fled.”

However, Mark14:51-52 states: “And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: and he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.”

One of the listeners of the Holy Spirit told me what He said regarding these verses. He said that the linen cloth represents flimsy faith or weak faith, and becoming naked means losing one's faith.

How about you? Could you please explain what you think these verses mean?

She was doing his work, she was dilligent and dutiful. If God could talk to one person to assuage and comfort it should have been her. I know his ways are not our ways, her reward is in heaven but....

If God can't recognize when his own are in desperate need of his loving word right here, right now, what good is he? If any anyone deserved to hear their Lords voice on this earth, it was Mother Teresa. He talks to you guys all the time, why not her?

Why do some people feel that all parts of the bible must be taken literally EXCEPT Revelations? Whenever you change the literal meaning of a word in, say, Genisis, they jump on you. But when they look at Revelations, they give huge importance and obscure metaphorical significance to every phrase.

Doesn't this seem strange?

There is scarcely any sin against which our Lord Jesus more warns his disciples, than disquieting, distracting, distrustful cares about the things of this life. This often insnares the poor as much as the love of wealth does the rich. But there is a carefulness about temporal things which is a duty, though we must not carry these lawful cares too far. Take no thought for your life. Not about the length of it; but refer it to God to lengthen or shorten it as he pleases; our times are
in his hand, and they are in a good hand. Not about the comforts of this life; but leave it to God to make it bitter or sweet as he pleases. Food and raiment God has promised, therefore we may expect them. Take no thought for the morrow, for the time to come. Be not anxious for the future, how you shall live next year, or when you are old, or what you shall leave behind you. As we must not boast of tomorrow, so we must not care for to-morrow, or the events of it. God has given us life, and has
given us the body. And what can he not do for us, who did that? If we take care about our souls and for eternity, which are more than the body and its life, we may leave it to God to provide for us food and raiment, which are less. Improve this as an encouragement to trust in God. We must reconcile ourselves to our worldly estate, as we do to our stature. We cannot alter the disposals of Providence, therefore we must submit and resign ourselves to them. Thoughtfulness for our souls is the best
cure of thoughtfulness for the world. Seek first the kingdom of God, and make religion your business: say not that this is the way to starve; no, it is the way to be well provided for, even in this world. The conclusion of the whole matter is, that it is the will and command of the Lord Jesus, that by daily prayers we may get strength to bear us up under our daily troubles, and to arm us against the temptations that attend them, and then let none of these things move us. Happy are those who
take the Lord for their God, and make full proof of it by trusting themselves wholly to his wise disposal. Let thy Spirit convince us of sin in the want of this disposition, and take away the worldliness of our hearts.

Sometimes it seems like atheists think so.

They say we can't prove God. Well they don't have any scientific proof for evolution. That's why it's just a theory. They have faith that it's right.

It is just atheist propoganda that they try and push on our children in public schools.

VERSE: Therefore I tell U, do not worry about UR life, what U will eat or drink; or about UR body, what U will wear. Is not life more important than food, & the body more important than clothes?
Matthew 6:25 Mes: If you decide 4 God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that U don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in UR closet are in fashion. There is far more to UR life than the food U put in UR stomach, more 2 UR outer appearance than the clothes U hang on UR body. Look at the birds, free & un-fettered not tied down 2 a job description, careless in the care of God. & U count far more 2 him than birds. FOOTNOTES LIFE AP BIBLE: Because of the ill effects of worry, Jesus tells us not 2 worry U may (1) damage your health (2)cause the object of UR worry 2 comsume UR thoughts when they should B on Jesus (3) disrupt UR productivity (4) negatively affect the way U treat others (5)reduce your ability to tust in God !!!!.

I was a Jehovah'w Witness. When I was 13 years old I got baptized. My older brother did not get baptized. At an older age, I decided that the Jw's were a cult and disassosciated myself.

The result of my disassosciation, was the loss of any contact what so ever with my family....My brother, can have contact.

Question: If Baptism is the deciding factor of disfellowshipping, Do the Jehovah'w Witnesses having any business allowing children to make that kind of dedication.

In a previous question Auchting Heiss points out that a 13 year old lesbian is not old enough to know her own future or mind.....

What if you were really good all your life and got into Heaven but your favourite thing to do was something sinful, like fallating a midget?
