The King James Version of the Holy Bible, most used by fundamentalist, was translated by men who were not fully versed in translation. Many verses could have possibly been mistranslated or wrongfully rendered.

It is generally accepted in the ancient languages community that those who wrote the KJV did NOT fully grasp Greek or Hebrew. The scholarship available at the time was simply not as advanced as today. One must also look at the context of the times that the book was written in, and what certain words meant at the time.

How can the Bible be infallible and guided by God when there are obvious differences between the versions? I mean look at it truthfully. Basically what we believe is based on what men translated?

I know you already believe gays and lesbians are going to hell for all eternity. Since you already believe they are going to hell for eternity, why is there a driving need to make their lives and those of their families, children etc hell on earth right now as well?

I am trying to understand what drives you for example to block a lesbian from pension benefits for her life partner or insurance benefits to take care of her partner's chemo treatment. What motivates you to hinder their ability to legally protect and provide for any children they might have? What makes you fight to ensure a gay man is not considered legal next of kin and cannot visit his partner in hospital?

What satisfaction does it provide you to hinder someone's personal and family well being?

Is this consistent with "Doing unto others as you would have them do unto you?"

Idolators are also going to hell according to your belief. Do you intend to rally against all who do not abide by your religious faith?

Richard Dawkins talked about the events leading up to a human life would outnumber the grains of sand in the Sahara, and that we are all very lucky to have been born at all, for we are but a small few compared to the many, many more humans that have not existed because certain steps were missed in their creation.

I fully agree with him, and yet it makes me lean towards pro-life because of it. Why kill the baby on the last step of the wonderous journey to become a human being? Some might argue, "Well, what about rape victims? What about the way the world is today?" I fail to see how that is the baby's fault in the least. It did not chose to be, but it is, and you agree that murdering this entity is somehow not wrong.

I work in heathcare, and have seen countless babies in ultrasounds that have their own little personalities and quirks, even before they have fully developed. To say a baby is not alive until it comes out in the third trimester is a very weak argument indeed.

even after I've told them I have no interest in speaking with them. Could his actions be considered a form of harrassment? I'm getting to the point where I either have to call the police about it or get very snotty and confrontational with him. What do you believe law enforcement would do if I complained?

They have more changed doctrines than one can imagine, and only get their information from the Watchtower. Since when did the bible need to be read with magazines written by men with no scholarly education or credentials? Yet they claim they have the 'TRUTH' and accuse everyone else of slander and lies? What planet are they living on? Since when could you trust only one source of information and specifically one that has been false so many times in the past?

I was raised in hell, I mean, a catholic school, so we had to do absolution before our second communion (you know, the presents, the nice clothes, the feast, all that).

However, I couldn't come up with a sin, because I hadn't and still have not sinned, so I made several up, and told the priest that...
