@ lilmissykato: How can an omnipotent being feel pain unless it chooses to feel pain? An omnipotent being has to allow itself to feel pain. If the being wants to feel pain, is it anyone's fault but the omnipotent being's that it feels pain?

@ Confirmed atheist: I want you keep this date every year in observance of my sacrifice for you, lol. I'd say you could hide candy filled eggs, but that's been done.

Jesus was not God so why would you use the adjective omnipotent. Jesus was the most spiritually enlightened man ever. Jesus was the mortal man and Christ was the spiritual man. Jesus did indeed make a sacrifice when he entered mortal mans world and suffered the pain that went with it.

Obviously he isn't truly omnipotent. How do I know this? Well he rested on the 7th day thats how. An omnipotent being needs no rest.
Plus sometime after transcribing the old testament he obviously changed his mind about certain things and had to have a second book written to overturn some of his previous statements.
An omnipotent being doesn't need to change his mind because it's right the first time.

men still reject his sacrifice now,
They seen Jesus, He interfered with their ways, life styles, so they beat him crucified him rejected him.
even after they eye witnessed him for 40 days after he rose from the dead.
and He is "remaking" everything again there will be a new Heaven and earth, and best of all no sin, sin and death will be thrown into the lake of fire.
and to reply to (confirmed atheist's ) question, How is this a sacrifice?
He felt pain he was hurt, Is confirmed atheist's willing to suffer and die for others to make a way for them? I think not, that's why he believes in nothing because it's easier.

An omnipotent being would never need to make a sacrifice and would never lose anything.

Of course and omnipotent being can make a sacrifice. That's like saying to someone whose child died, don't worry, you can just have another baby.
Sorry for your ignorance. I pray God will enlighten you.

Thanks for the most interesting question I've seen in YA for quite a while!
I'd have to say there are no "do overs" in sacrifice. Either you give something up or you don't.

"Omnipotent" would mean that the being in question can do pretty much anything He wants to do...
I really don't see your problem with that idea.

Some sacrifice, huh? He died for your sins!!! Yeah, and came back to life again after three days... Three measly days of being dead is a sacrifice, when youre immortal?? Three days would have been the length of a sneeze to an immortal person!
What kind of sacrifice is that?

No way possible, and thanks for running with the question, you saved me 5 points.
Chrisitans, RJR just saved me 5 points, and I didn't even have to ask. You should all worship him now, since his sacrifice made it possible for you all to view this question and understand the error of your ways!

Jesus took on every type of suffering known to humanity. He didn’t forget after it was over. No matter what type of suffering we endure, he is there with us and he understands. He hasn’t forgotten at all.
Can you imagine being willing to endure with us all our sufferings for two thousand years? That’s no small sacrifice.
