I am a Christian, but I do not support his illegal and unethical war. True, Saddam Hussein was an evil tyrant, but there are other governments in the world today with similar situations and we do not try to "liberate" them. Also, the U.S. has supported similar or worse leaders in the past (Pol Pot, Pinochet, etc.).
Our reasons for attacking Iraq were based on lies. Many lives have been lost, not only from our armed forces, but also thousands of innocent Iraqis.
Anyway, as a Christian, I think that murder, lying, and greed are wrong, and yet the present administration seems to support these evils. I am not trying to start a Bush bash or to anger other Christians, I just want an honest and thoughtful answer to this question.

I was just curious how much your beliefs interfere with personal relationships. Would you be friends with, date, marry a person with different beliefs? opposng beliefs? no beliefs? How different could they be?

People are saying a God created us, ok, I understand that, but what created God, and what created the thing that created God, what started all this, life we call on earth here, everybody is saying God, God, and God, yes ok, but what created God and before that, there is no book that explains that, religion books are made up, I mean I can make up a God called Jingoo and tell the people that he was the creater of everything, so people believe what that book says, but don't you ask yourself what started all of this, NO, most people just don't care, so who started or what strated all this crap?

If you are a normal human over about age 6, you are a living (supermaterial) soul having a body and mind and who is potentially being Spirit of God directed above and within. Rather than thinking you are a body with a soul; you a Spirit-led soul have a mind and body as tools here to use in your continual growth into eventual Paradise perfection.

Have any here had a sudden soul awareness of "Wow ! I am just like me ! Wonderful !" What were you doing or seeking when that was suddenly and unexpectedly given to you as a personal experience?

What would you do with that information?
Would you follow any paticular religion?
Would it make any difference to you> because most athesits here say they think GOD is some treacherous being. Would you worship GOD if you knew he exsisted? or would it even make a hill of beans to you that he is the creator?

i've never killed anyone or done anything else for that matter to destroy a person's life simply because temptation got the best of me. now how can anyone, even god equate me having a bad thought every now and then, which doesn't affect anyone but me, with destroying someone else's life? and don't answer "when i die i can ask god." i'm asking the believers, because in order to believe this garble you have to understand on some level what you've been told about sin and everyone being sinners and you must be willing to accept that it is fair.

The thought of surveillance 24-7 for your whole life from cradle to grave everything being noted and chalked up and then even when you are dead no let up, it is really quite repulsive, what makes you find any of this an attractive proposition?

I'm starting this to help clear up some questions I commonly find here. This may be somewhat long:

More people have abandoned their faith because of the problem of evil than for any other reason. It is certainly the greatest test of faith, the greatest temptation to unbelief. And it's not just an intellectual objection. We feel it. We live it. That's why the Book of Job is so arresting.

The problem can be stated very simply: If God is so good, why is his world so bad? If an all-good, all-wise, all-loving, all-just, and all-powerful God is running the show, why does he seem to be doing such a miserable job of it? Why do bad things happen to good people?

The unbeliever who asks that question is usually feeling resentment toward and rebellion against God, not just lacking evidence for his existence. C. S. Lewis recalls that as an atheist he "did not believe God existed. I was also very angry with him for not existing. I was also angry with him for having created the world."

Ok, had my first visit from a Jehovah witness at my new home. It was Saturday I had just gotten out of the shower and my 6 year old son comes and tells me that some man is at the door wanting to talk to me. My son did not open the door but the guy seen him in the house and hollered at him and asked him if his mom and dad were home. I tell my son to go to the garage where my husband was working. My son goes down there and my husband is not in there but the Jehovah witness was in my garage! And, he talked to my son and gave him the pamphlets. . .I find that strange and I am not happy about it. Is that crazy?
