i've never killed anyone or done anything else for that matter to destroy a person's life simply because temptation got the best of me. now how can anyone, even god equate me having a bad thought every now and then, which doesn't affect anyone but me, with destroying someone else's life? and don't answer "when i die i can ask god." i'm asking the believers, because in order to believe this garble you have to understand on some level what you've been told about sin and everyone being sinners and you must be willing to accept that it is fair.

Well, are you really a perfect person or are you just a "good enough" person?

You know the old saying, "Nobody's perfect." And none of us are perfect. So while you may not be murdering somebody, you may be remotely participating in it by buying a nickel bag of pot and supporting a crime ring filled with people who have no problem murdering others. You may not be committing adultery, but you may be contributing to the destruction of somebody's marriage by supporting the porn industry. You may not be stealing yourself, but you may be contributing to somebody else's thievery by not sharing your excess with the poor and homeless such that they have to go out to steal what they need.

We're all in this together. Living a "good enough" life with lots of little sins contributes to big sins that make the world a lousy place. But even more than that, by not letting God be God, we put ourselves in God's place and we become our own gods. You want a really perfect, pure, holy, true God? Or do you just want your average "good enough" person who does things wrong -- big or little -- to be running your life?

Have you ever? These are questions you would need to ask/answer yourself. Maybe you have never done any of these all too human things even once in your life..

- told a fib (just a small fib once)
- criticized someone behind his/her back
- bragged, puffed up your accomplishments in a conversation
- become angry with someone unfairly (not violent, just vocally annoyed even in a lower tone)
- hurt someone's feelings (intentionally or unintentionally?)
- been selfish
- been lazy when given a fleeting opportunity
- blamed others for your faults
- any number of things..

the really nasty wicked acts should not be the measuring stick that you use.. such logic is the logic of rationalization..

as adults we try to be aware of our sins. why? so that we strive to do better next time.

I accept that God determines who will or will not go to heaven. He alone decides what is in the heart of a person and whether or not their sin is greater than someone Else's. I will answer for my sins the same as everyone else on that day of judgment. I will however have a wonderful lawyer who has never lost a case His name is Jesus.

Ask three people who witnessed a car crash and write down their answers, then find them a week later and ask them what happened again and write down their answers, now look at the answers you wrote down and be surprised that you have six different versions of what may have happened!

Do you put your needs first before God? Read the bible, it will tell you. For unbelievers, look what happened to King Belshazzar and Nebuchnezzar. God convicted them when they did not believe. God still applies to you guys too.

If you are non-religious, you do not sin. Sin is a religous term which means to go against god's teaching.

Whether you sin or not we are all born with the tendency to sin. We are infected by 'sin' virus just as one gets HIV. Whether he develops complications sooner or later does not change his status.
