If so, what things do you store?

I'm interested in hearing about foods with almost indefinite storage. What do you store, and how do you use it?

Note: This is in R&S because preparedness is part of my religion + I know there are heaps of people hanging around in R&S who might have some useful info for me. Thanks!

Both claim to believe in the "One True God." They believe that their God's existence is obvious and all doubters are deceived.

Both claim possession of the sole Holy Book authored by that One True God.

They support this claim by citing vague prophecies or historical events (often inaccurate).

When flaws are found in that book, they claim that it is meant to be taken metaphorically, or a misreading, or taken out of context.

Both claim the "extremists" are not really of their faith.

Just wondering if you see the similarities?

What is there to do in a "heaven?" For those of you who think that heaven is a place to enjoy yourself by eating all you can eat or lounging around playing video games, you are sadly mistaken. Those are very "human" and hedonistic ideas which, as all Christians know, are not allowed by their god. So what does someone do? For those who go to church, I hope you enjoy it very much. Because in heaven, thats probably what you will do: Worship your god for eternity.

In hell, you will supposedly suffer for eternity in some ironic punishment or burning infernos.

Its a tough decision: Everlasting worship of god (with no breaks because you won't need them) or an eternity of 3rd degree burns. Which would you choose?

Why is it that some people believe that animals do not have a soul? How can you prove that they don't? Does it say in your holy book that animals are without souls?

Think...

If individuals can be likened to individual cells working together -- or NOT, in the instance of cancer -- to keep the body functioning as it should; to maintain the balance and integrity of the physical body. Then what significance might cancer within our bodies be on the grander scale of things?

What is cancer? (Answer from a website:: "Cancer is actually a group of many related diseases that all have to do with cells." || "Cancer happens when cells that are not normal grow and spread very fast. Normal body cells grow and divide and know to stop growing. Over time, they also die. Unlike these normal cells, cancer cells just continue to grow and divide out of control and don't die." || "Cancer cells usually group together to form tumors that can destroy the normal cells around the tumor and damage the body's healthy tissues.")

Might this have some spiritual significance within this world, and conflicts arising within it? Might we be giving the world (God) a form of cancer?

If you believe this type of comparison viable, begin to think about the entire body from that one single cell's perspective... What understanding could one single cell become aware of, in regards to how the entire body, as a whole, functioned?

Might it have similar understandings to those that we come to, as humans, trying to figure our own lives within this world? Maybe some cells believe that once they die, within the body, that that's it and there will be nothing more. Maybe some believe they will reincarnate as another cell and continue their work. And, maybe some cells believe there is something more after they die. etc...

Yet, miraculously, the body (at the body's own level - at our level) continues to function regardless of what each cell might or might not believe.

Now, begin to think of one single cell, from our perspective... We know the functions of the different types of cells, yet we don't know what one single cell is doing at any given moment, do we?

Can you be a Christian and a feminist? NO. The Bible is clear on this.

"But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." (I Corinthians 11:3)

"For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man." (I Corinthians 11:8-9)
