In both denominations, a child is baptized as a child of God, and as a Christian. He is not baptized Lutheran or Catholic. It is then up to the parents and godparents to see that the child recieves his religious upbringing, whichever one you all choose.
As for getting married in the Lutheran church, did you discuss this with your priest?? As Lutherans, it doesn't bother us, it is not a sacrament. But I know that the Catholics are a bit picky as to who marries you and whether they will accept it or not.

Please - before you do this, talk with your priest to get a dispensation. I'm not sure what this entails, but it's important to get this out of the way so that the baptism isn't difficult. To marry outside the Church without dispensation is separating yourself from the Catholic Church.
Both godparents typically need to be active Catholics. A friend of mine at work had a tough time and had to replace a godparent at the last minute. It turns out there was no record of her being confirmed and thus she was not allowed to become a godparent. Is the Lutheran confession "close enough"? Maybe - best bet to check with your priest, or for an even quicker answer, try forums.catholic.com.
All the best!

The Catholic Church will recognize your Lutheran marriage as valid. However, you should continue to live a Sacramental Life in the Catholic Church by going to Mass every Sunday, receiving communion, and going to confession at least twice a year.
Yes, you can baptize your children in the Catholic Church. At least one of the God Parents should be a practicing Catholic who has been confirmed in the Church.

I am not Catholic or Lutheran. My son however married a Catholic and had to become Catholic. Their child was baptized Catholic and the Godparents were both Catholic. I do not think they give any leeway. Best check with the church.

No, you do NOT have to be married in a Catholic Church to have your kids baptized there....but - most Priests will insist that you be a member of that parish (or else how are you going to "bring your kids up Catholic"??)
No...Godparents do not have to be Catholic....not even Christian (although I certainly don't like this practice). They just have to promise to help raise your children Catholic...and make sure they are brought to the Bishop for Confirmation when they are of age.

You're spending too much time and energy on things that don't matter. What does any of this really matter?
