The view from this quadrant is 100 % with Shihan, and Cosmic Kiss.
Anger and Hate.
We even have a saying, "That person is eating her/himself up with anger and/or hate."
E-Motions.
Energy in Motion.
And there's the nub, motion. The way emotions work is not at all how it might appear, they seem to 'happen' to us, as if from some external source. But in real 'Reality' we select them, and use them to observe how a certain event makes us 'feel'. Once felt, they should be allowed to pass, and the next event should be selected.
What we humans, under the influence of these monkey suits, do, is we hang on to them, we store them up, we almost literally hoard them. Hoping not to change them, whether desirable or undesirable, because we are intrinsically afraid that the next one(s) might be 'worse'.
I believe that sooner or later we will be able to tie every type of dis-ease to some kind of pent-up emotion or other.
The first ones that I identified are Anger, and it's cousin, Hate.
And it is clear to me that cancer is how the body manifests it's dissatisfaction with this toxic store, the cells literally rebel against the host organism, and start a reproduction system all of their own, which, unabated, eventually consumes all the healthy tissue around it. Sooner or later this process becomes fatal to the host organism, in this case our respective monkey suit.
The good news is that, contrary to accepted 'science', there is no such thing as an 'irreversible' condition. No matter how late the message gets through, once the human mind understands the process the harsh 'lesson' can be abandoned, and the organism can recover, fully.
So ... the trick is to get the message out there, and to investigate fully all the other 'conditions' to see what is their underlying causal feature.
AIDS is another organism that is almost entirely the reverse of what we have been told it is. HIV is not the cause of AIDS, it is merely a co-relative factor. Thousands of people are dying every year from non-HIV related AIDS, and how many of you know this ??? Not too many I'll guess.
Whenever one of us gets a common cold it is a variant of AIDS, all of these dis-ease mechanisms are all around us all of the time, but we never wonder why, at such and such a particular time we catch a cold, or flu or whatever.
The answer is stunningly simple, we choose them, and for an instant we shut down our immune systems to admit the organism that we have selected. All of this happens at another level of our overall consciousness, of course, I am not suggesting, for the most part, that we do this consciously.
Usually we do it for good reasons, in order to experience some facet of dis-ease or other. In the case of full-blown AIDS one can only guess at the reasons why we might do this. But the process remains the same.
In ancient Chinese medicine, the village physician was paid by everyone in the village, all the time they remianed healthy. Whenever someone got sick they didn't have to pay any more until healthy again. That was what the physician was paid for ... keeping everyone healthy.
If a patient had to visit the physician, or vice versa the normal way of starting the 'consultation' would be for the 'physician' to ask the 'patient' something like "So, Wong, how's your life, right now ?"
They knew that all dis-ease stemmed form the level of satisfaction, or otherwise, that we feel with our lives.

Very astute, CCL.
I've wondered the same thing, recently.
Now you've encouraged me to think about it... :-)
The Buddha's likened the five aggregates (materiality, the body, & it's sensory / mental derivatives: "suffering"), to a cancer.
Maybe some forms of inappropriate actions can cause these things, and even physical illness to proliferate?
I'm not perfect, but I think that Buddhism, Taoism, and just about any right thinking school of thought would agree that as long as each of us individuals, each cell, does the right thing / good: the 'system' works.
We shouldn't go finding fault with others, but correct & encourage, spur ourselves on - to do / be good / right / left... :-)

Hi CC :-)
According to my studies all diseases, including cancer, can be attributed to either of two causes: congestion or inflammation. Shihan contributed a lot of good thoughts and provided some insights on yin/yang and emotional causes.
Congestion is caused by holding too much inside, blocking the natural flow of energy. Typical scenarios are those who will not express anger or hurt feelings and let the steam build up inside. Eventually it feeds into a disease process of one sort or another. We can't bottle up a ton of energy without expecting some sort of ramifications. Blockages and tumor will result in time.
Inflammation is the opposite-- releasing too much energy. Inflammatory people are easy to spot and oftentimes are avoided because of the excess of energy pouring from them. These people will find inflamed organs in the affected chakra or energy location.
Walking the middle way, finding balance, open communication, understanding oneself--all spiritual expressions---can go a long way in preventing physical, emotional and mental illnesses.
Holistic, Wholistic, being whole, being holy, everything ties together in expression of the one.

God is beyond this world, and perfect....the cancer we bring to God's creation...being our world, is not terminal to God.
As humans who think in human ways, communicate in human ways, perceive in human ways....cancer can be of great spiritual significance.
It can serve as a wake up call, a test of faith, or merely a random product of the "unit' of this world being 'fallen' or separate from the waking reality of God consciousness.
I wonder if other 'realities' and forms of awareness that we are unable to communicate with even in part have their own perception of imperfection.
It is true that humans fall way short of their potential in this world.
I don't know the answers but to me...they key lays in the heart of the individual.....if a single person is able to take the higher meaning out of an experience with 'cancer' either directly or indirectly then a miracle is manifest.
I think all things of perception can be viewed from a spiritual standpoint....big small and in between, on every level beyond the physical.
I try to seek the most beautiful interpretation in a situation....I actively pray for understanding.
This is what I feel in my soul to me the meaning in life.
If cancer is one port of spiritual awareness to come into this realm...I'll embrace it.
It any experience connects a soul to the Divine...it's purpose is fulfilled or used for the highest of love.

This can be viewed as a question about Karma, a subject which is exciting me a bit at the moment and upon which I shall expound at the next clear-cut opportunity.
Harrumph!
I would just like to add this - if we are indeed a disease on the planet then I think we need to watch out. An excision is due!

Yes they most certainly do but it depends on what you are dreaming about sometimes they can represent the past, present and future. Deja Vu being the future, you know that you have not been to a certain place or situation or conversation but you have a overwhelming feeling that you have been there or seen the same thing or heard the same thing before because you have in your sleep. Certain things you dream about have sometimes have completely different meaning to what you think they might be or some might be complete nonsense. It depends if you are open to the potential of spiritual dreaming but if you are not open to it you dream of water-skiing on cats or that you are batman.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. If it is that we (all people) are giving the world cancer. I don't see it. If you mean in the sense that we are mulitplying...okay maybe. But I wouldn't call that a spiritual significance. If you mean that religious people are giving the world a form of cancer, that might be spiritual for you, but not for me.

Your analogy is on-point. The "cancer" affecting spiritual growth in our churches is false teachings.
The Bible warns us of this, and cautions us to be aware and to compare the teachings of humans to the word as written in the Bible.
It is amazing how people have the capacity to take a small portion of scripture, completely out of context, and use it as a justification for their sin.
I think the Bible is pretty clear in that there is NO justification for sin. Any sin. Period.

If your eye is not single to the glory of God then you can go of course. Same with cells, if they aren't exactly right it ends up messing with the rest of the body.

Cancer cells don't age so cancer is a touch of immortality in something not able to handle it.
What happens if immortals wander earth within society?
