What bothers me more than your question, is that people say animals can't think, make choices, or decide. They say animals have no feelings. If that is true, why do my cats come and lay on me if I am crying? Why did my dog? Animals make decisions everyday. If they are ill, they try and cure themselves...my cat lacerated a bubble wound she had a month ago, ewww, cleaned up her messy (it was gross), and has been fine ever since.
Like others, I am a mere human-being, and find myself having no right to say that animals have no soul, but my personal belief is they must have some kind of love from God, since they give so much to humanity, when humanity takes so much from animals, and animals always come back to give more love, even to those humans who have abused them. How can any loving God turn down a spirit such as that?

Since atheists profess they don't have souls, I'm guessing they believe animals don't either. I'm christian, and I know animals have souls. Any creature that can feel love has a soul. The bible does say that the holy spirit came upon Jesus (when He was being babtised by John the Baptist), "like the spirit of a dove", hence I'm guessing that means they do indeed have souls. The bible never says they don't.

There is a place in the Bible that I remember reading (I just don't remember exactly where) that says something to the effect of "who can say whether the spirit of the beast descends to the earth?" I took it to mean "Hey, you can't say that, and that it probably is not that way. After all the Bible does say that the lion and lamb will lie down together. If there are animals there, why wouldn't it be safe to assume they are the same ones that came from earth. Anyone who has a pet knows how full of love they are and we know God is love. I truly believe animals go to heaven. God bless!

I don't believe in magic. The soul is the mind. There are animals with minds, especially mine! Sometimes I wonder who is the PET here. Them or me!
