How is it possible for any intellectually developed individual to believe in God without having doubts? Have you even had doubts?

Many many people have doubts some point in time, maybe even an a regular basis.

Though some people settle these from pushing these thoughts and doubts out of their minds - which can be both efficiant and a smart thing to do of one in their position of hoping to maintain their religious position and what not, it can also be stupid.

I'm Muslim, and I have had doubts in religon before. Though I usually find an answer to these doubts, thus concluding that my doubts were stupid.

Me, being my age, I have many questions - Though I DO admit I push some of these questions away, they don't bother me. I believe that everything will come in time. Even if I have to wait for YEARS to gain these answers, it's worth the wait.

I regret having these doubts, mind you, I probably sound like I'm trying to convert you or seduce someone into looking into this.

So I'll curve around my words a bit, doubts come from all over. People best ignore them or find answers that suit them. In fact, these answers satisfy me. If you look at it from a religious point of view, you see that God (whether from a Muslim or Christian or whatever religion) was the creator of all things. In my religion, you don't just go out and question "How did God come into existence?". It's like asking in more scientifical terms and non-religious words "How did the universe and the people come into existence?" They just did.

No one knows how, but they just did. And it's best not to question it too deeply, otherwise you'll get a migrane.

So yes, doubts do happen, and many people usually find answers or ignore them or do whatever they do to rid them of their doubts.

But some people take these doubts in another direction and convert or desert their religion and whatnot. And I respect their descisions, though I still remain strong to my faith.

Anywho, have a nice day.

Doubt the existence of God? No, I have not had doubts...But then I was filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues....when you can pray in tongues you received from the Father,,,you don't doubt the existance of God.

There is something though, that I do need to mention...I doubted in the beginning,,if God would heal me....you see,,,,I had seen him heal others, but I know you have to believe you are healed, to be healed....and I struggled with that. If you want anything, you must believe that you receive it, at the exact moment when you pray...you consider it done. It doesn't matter that you eyes tell you different,,,you hang on to that belief....that is how you get healed

24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. Mark 11:22-24 NKJV ...

I am just lately, getting that through my thick head....probably because of all those 37 years I spent as an agnostic....but I am finally getting it....Funny, thats how faith in God works too. You have to believe he exists first, and then he shows you...What a God we serve. Faith is the key to everything. Faith and love are the keys to the Kingdom.

Everyone has had doubts, but to me at least, they're different than people seem to think doubts should be. My doubts take the form of vague confusion about why we're here, what is the point of life, etc, but nothing I can really verbalize. I don't sit and think to myself, "Now why do I think God exists? Should I believe that? What if he doesn't exist? Will everything just be over when I die? Why do I believe in the divinity of a guy who lived two thousand years ago?" and so on.

No

Psalm 19:1
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork.

Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Peace be with you

Even Mother Teresa had doubts. Not doubting the existance of God, but whether He was with her. All believers have some form of doubt from time to time. I've had my fair share.

I don't think it is possible. Anyone who says that they have an unquestioning faith in God hasn't thought hard enough, in my opinion.
I've had doubts. I'm having them still, in fact.

I'm not saying it's impossible for someone intellectually developed to believe in God - it may well be possible - but if you never doubt...well, I'd rethink.

Every honest religious person will tell you that they have had doubts from time to time. It is hard not to in the world we live in. When I have doubts, it usually stems from something that I don't understand, so when it happens, I look for an answer to it.

faith is a exceedingly mushy subject count for communicate. i relish your braveness to submit such question. Ever ask your self why are there such lots of variations of teachings interior a similar faith? Who would be one hundred% particular that the training that grew to become into being taught is from the unique source or includes the unique meanings. Now, think of approximately it. who're those doing the preaching? human beings! human beings are actually not appropriate! what's the lifestyles span of human under regularly occurring circumstances? approximately 80? And faith has 1000's of years in historic previous or maybe returned in BC. under a same word, human beings would interpret it in any different case or realize it in any different case. are you able to be very particular that there heavily isn't deviations? Eg. while somebody says i such as you. What comes into your techniques? What comes into human beings's techniques? What comes into the techniques of the guy who reported those words? some human beings hire religion to instigate undesirable act. As you will discover for your self, the huge suicide in Japan and faith clashes in Indonesia, and so on. So, although faith you're in. the main serious is to digest what grew to become into being carry forth. on the final prognosis, i've got faith the origins of all faith is to show human beings to do good deeds. in case you experience unconfortable in many the training. Congratulations!!! you're making use of your techniques to contemplate.
