It was Satan's choice to rebel against God, it was his choice to tempt Eve (it was her choice to yield thereby bringing all her offspring under condemnation, so you can blame her, too, while you are at it), and it's Satan's choice to continue to cause all the evil in the world today. What's not to blame? But we must also blame ourselves for continuing to believe Satan and let him lead us around by the nose. Yes, God is "all powerful", but he is not a dictator like Satan is. God gives everyone the power of choice....and the privilege of learning from the consequences. Satan strives to take away our power of choice....only God can give it back. And that's because God is "all powerful". This blaming and evil won't go on forever. We will soon see that "all powerful" side of God and, along with Satan, shake in our boots.....unless, of course, we have made the choice to belong to God. Right now we can be thankful God is patiently waiting, being merciful, showing love and offering forgiveness, not wanting anyone to perish.....or we'd be in as much trouble as Satan is going to be one of these days.

First off, I admit that christians as a whole do not always say and do the right thing. Satan and all who do wickness are not the cause or blame for all badness or sin. We followers of the truth must daily make a choice to do what is right. Most of us miss the mark time and time again. God is all powerful regardless if you or I believe it. Because of God's own word God must allow things to run their corse until such time predetermined by God. If God were to move or change things before such time he could be accused of breaking his own word. There are many such things that you and I may never know until that time has come. I choose to believe God's word because if it is a farce then I'd rather err on the chance that it's all good anyway...although I am not certain or correct in everything that I do, I am forgiven by God as long as I ask for it...I hope you find what you are looking for, and I hope that what you are looking for is what's best for you...take care...

Did you know that Satan is also called a "god" in the Bible? (2Corinthians 4:4) And that Jesus referred to him as "the ruler of the world"? (John 14:30, Eph 2:2) So, although God is the final authority, and is certainly more powerful than this fallen angel Satan, it is very easy to see how Satan has the ability to wreak havoc in peoples lives and capable of bringing much destruction to the earth. However as another answerer pointed out, albeit sarcastically, we all do have free will to either follow God's commandments and recommendations, or we can go along with Satan and oppose those things, which usually end up causing us unwanted consequences. Some of it is just our own selfish reasons for wanting to do things AGAINST God's wishes, and has nothing to do with Satan. One example that comes to mind: God says to not have sexual relations without the benefit of marriage. Well, we can CHOOSE to do that, but we can also end up with unwanted pregnancies, STD's, and a lifetime of problems and heartache because of our temporary pleasure, and our ignoring what God recommended to do in the first place. Really, God's commandments and laws are a protection and a way to prevent ourselves from undue or unnecessary pain and suffering. You can believe that it is Satan who would like us to ignore all of that, because basically, misery loves company.

Obviously, there is a misunderstanding...on your part...and on the part of those Christians!

When Satan struck all of Job's family dead, and many sheep dead, and many camels dead...

Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship and said:
"Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised." In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing.

-Job 1:13-22

So...Job did not blame Satan, yet if you read the whole chapter, it was obvious Satan was the one who did all the destruction and killing!

Yet...at the SAME time, Job did not charge God with wrongdoing, as it directly states in verse 22.

THEREFORE, and I reiterate:
Both YOU and these other Christians are misunderstanding the nature and existance of evil...

God is good and satan is bad is what you are referring to.

God is the all-powerful as you said but satan is also real and is trying to build his power that must be prevented. Remember, God has given man the freedom to decide which way he wants to go.

Yes Christians blame Satan for everything.
DO I get a thumbs up because I said what YOU want to hear and what makes YOU happy? If you ask a question and you have Christians answering it and they are telling you that NO Christians don't think or SAY that, Go by THE SOURCE... otherwise why ask?
WE make our OWN choices like YOU do. WE will account for THOSE and they have nothing to do with SATAN. When Satan is bound during the millennium people will still sin, because they CHOOSE to.
Keep it real at least with yourself, if you can't with others. Peace! =)

God is all powerful but... in Job it actually shows that Satan is constantly trying to attack us and bring us down, and God protects us, so Satan does all the wrong things but God lets us deal with them when He feels we are ready. It says God won't give us any more temptations (trials) then we can handle, so we have to trust God because he is all powerful over Satan too... besides God created us so he can do whatever he wants to us...

Yea, God is the "all-powerful"! In Job we can read that Satan, himself, has to knock on God's door and ask permission to tempt us. It's up to God to let us enter the time of trial and test. His reasons are always for the better. We should be asking... What has God said no to when the Devil wants to play?

Yes, God is 'all powerful' ... but he gave us 'free will' and that is why Satan can 'lead us astray' ... if God was a 'dictator' he could just 'make us believe' and 'make us be good' and we would have NO CHOICE ... but God 'gave us free will' so that WE could choose ... which is why Satan can 'tempt us to do wrong' ... and I don't 'blame Satan' for that, I blame the 'people' who make what seems obvious to be the 'wrong choices.'

My sister once got lost on the way to a church function on the other side of town because someone gave her bad directions. She pulled over to the side of the road to pray because Satan got her lost. And wondered why I didn't agree with her beliefs. i guess I just can't see myself as just some tug-of-war toy between God and Satan.

P.S. I'm not an atheist.
