Instead a campaign to end the opium business would have benefited a little more. It would have cost less for US government, cost less for US military, stopped life loss, and a little fruitful effort. Above all the means and ends would have been peaceful.

Dont let the media fool you - alot is producced in China as well... The opium poppy is the national flower of death and grows wild in most graveyards in China. Many people outside of the main cities still smoke it.
