There are some people who consistently give good answers. I don't always thumbs-up them, as I'm not a creepy stalker, but I bet I do it on almost every answer they give.
What can I say, there are some people on here that I think are genuinely intelligent! And I'm a thumbs-upper, anyway. I give them out liberally.

I don't down thumb. I give thumbs up to answers I think are good, or if I was going to give that answer I thumbs up it and don't bother answering the question, or if it was humorous.

Crimmsonandclover. Possibly the stupidest person that I have ever had the misfortune of running across. And her answers always amount to "you'll be burning in hell" right after some huge chunk of copy and paste BS that she didn't even read herself. She's just a moron, plain and simple. I'm half convinced it's a huge elaborate joke, because I have a hard time believing anyone can be that dense. But it's not.
Edit: I should clarify so I don't look like a total ***: I always read it, I just invariably give it a thumbs down because it's a crap answer.

No...I only thumbs down very rude and ignorant answers. I just gave thumbs up to all the answers to my last question. Christians and Muslims included. They were all very respectful.

There are a few people who I almost always give thumbs up, but it's not regardless of their answer. It's just that I usually like the answer.
I only give thumbs down to obvious cut-and-paste jobs and answers that promote hatred, ignorance, bigotry, etc. Which ends up being quite a few.
Conversely, sometimes I think I get thumbs up from people that like me regardless of my answer. I've given some pretty stupid answers that have had more thumbs up than they deserve.

No, I read the answer and if it appears to be poorly thought out, trite, reciting learned dogma, or just plain nonsensical then I may thumbs down it.

I don't do it, but I know there is someone who gives me thumbs down no matter what.
I once got 2 thumbs down for saying "I love puppies."
