What do you think?

Hey
I am 14 years old and I am a Christian.
But I'm into classic rock, heavy metal and all that stuff. And the music I'm listening to is making me rebel.
I'm not robbing stores or anything, but its seeming like I'm pushing God away.
I feel like I don't have to worry about obeying now in my teen years, I feel like I can worry about it later.
I pray to God every night.
But I recently noticed my additude and it scares me!
I still love God and Jesus, its just that I don't feel like worrying about that stuff right now.
I'm just a kid, you know? I don't wanna worry about that.
Yet, how I'm feeling is scaring me.

Please give me some advice.

Thanx!
God Bless!

I believe in God, and yeah, his son did exist, but I just have no faith. No faith in his healing power. I don't have the peace of mind that I've been searching for. I've asked Him to come into my life, but I'm not going to lie to myself; He's not there. Where do I begin?

with the reformation of the 16C, England then Britain as a whole became a Protestant State. this was enforced by 'The Glorious Revolution' of 1688 and the Act of Succesion/Settlement of 1701. With the growing population of Roman Catholics, of whom, fall under the jurisdiction of the Pope in Rome, what effect will this have on the Protestant and Atheist British public who have already had to give way to our ever growing Muslim Community?. and could we be building a rod for our own back? A Multi-Cultural Scociety will only work if there is respect for eachothers communities; Do you feel that your Community and Cultural beliefs are treated equal to the others? I'm an Atheist, so it doesn't effect me directly, but I don't wish my Country to go backwards religiously. we have all seen the devastation created by religious zealots within our cities, could this just be the beggining of a new religious revolution?

This is currently the situation I find myself in, and my life is changing radically because of it. Everything about me is hit, particularly my financial situation, so there is a lot for me to take in.

My question, though, is for those who have been through this--and let's face it, who hasn't--does faith provide comfort? I have gone from despondency to numbness, and now am strangely calm, although I feel like the real pain will hit later. Have you had your faith be a comfort to you? If not faith, what has helped pull you through these times?

The first bit when there were no humans around, how did that get there? It is written in the form of an eyewitness account, but that seems rather unlikely. It's not written by God directly, because it is in the third person. So who wrote it? There's zero explanation, not even a little "God told me to write this down, so"?

Secondary question: When and how did humans learn writing and for that matter, language? And what was that first language?

Ok, so...to keep this official: What is your faith? And does it affect your advice to the following:

My pay day always falls on a Thursday. I do not work for a big company, I am the sole employee of the psychiatrist that I work for. We don't do Direct Deposit, I write out my check and he signs it.

Wed. the Dr. came in, and left saying he'd see me today (Friday). I was all "Ok! See you then." Not remembering that he wasn't going to be here on Thurs. to sign my check, so I didn't think to ask him to sign it early.

Yesterday he offered to make a special run in to sign my check, and I was all "oh no, don't worry about it, you can sign it tomorrow, I'm good." He said that sounded great! (He also had a few MD appts for himself yesterday and one "procedure." )

This morning he calls me, drugged up on painkillers to tell me another MD is on call and he's not coming in. Now I can't get him to answer the phone and I have an unsigned paycheck.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Amazing myth, how it should rot
That caught a bird like me
I once was free, but now I’m not
Was great, but now can’t flee

T'was fable that showed...
My heart to fear
And religion succeed
How dreadful did that bring a tear
The hour I saw debris

Through many dangers, lies and snares…
We have a collapsed world
T’was fable that showed that we’re all doomed…
And delusion’s now unfurled

The truth has promised good to me…
The facts – my hope secures.
They were my shield and comfort be…
Not now as myth endures.

When we’ve been here a thousand years…
If we’re not yet done.
We’ve no less accomplished life
When this mess had first begun.

Amazing myth, how it should rot
That caught a bird like me
I once was free, but now I’m not
Was great, but now can’t flee

Thoughts? Any suggestions to make it clearer?

a clue what he was talking about. If he knew Christ ---he would have been a Christian. (this question is in regards to some of the quotes I have seen that Gandhi supposedly made about Jesus and Christians)---Sherris post http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AuOP1EdIZde1PA.X.0cWc.Lsy6IX?qid=20070822163746AA90ILK&show=7#profile-info-InYuf85vaa

There are many religions that I don't agree with, but I don't spend all my time seeking out and reading books that supposedly "discredit" them, just so I can feel smug about it.
