Yeah, I'd prefer just to be able to defend my own faith and beliefs, without having to resort to attacking others. I think that's just silly and pointless.

I just read over the question you linked to. I can't figure out why this information really discredits the Mormons. Who cares if they borrowed some traditions from the Masons--if they even did? I always find it funny when someone posts some grand revelation that "proves" the falsity of another religion. It's almost always either wrong or irrelevant.

The same reason bullies pick on kids in school. Beating others down makes you feel better about yourself. Pretty crappy way to build self-esteem though.
I'll tell you why Christianity is bashed more than any other religion. Because it's real.

That's what religious believers do...
try to discredit people who do not believe their beliefs, instead of proving and having validation of their own religious beliefs.
religious believers are Spiritual losers.
Go beyond religion and DO this:
Create Your Relationship with Our Creator
and have UnConditional Love and Peace in Your Life.

you are totally right, i don't know why people can't just accept and respect others' choices. no religion asks it's followers to hate believers of others' religions. but unfortunately some people, thinking that way they are confirming their belief, feel the need to attack believers of other religions and as a result religions gets all the blame of promoting hate between people

Sorry, some of us believe in a free debate where anything can be questioned. If you don't like it, seek out a theocracy of your own choice.

Knowledge is understanding.... People seek these things out to learn and when they ask questions like that its to get opinions on what they have read and learned.
